Love the Queen's outfit. The collar especially is extremely flattering on her and the earrings are just to die for. HM continues to be the embodiment of grace, elegance and regnal beauty.

The crownprince is giving the prize (little apples of orange) a whole other meaning here.
Two people who received the prize on behalf of their association (whioch heps school drop-outs) were on television last night. Nice to see that the Orange-fund is supporting such a good cause.

The royal house was represented by Grand Mastress Martine van Loon-Labouchere at the funeral service and the actual fuineral of Major Boshart (of the Salvation Army). HM also send a wreath with 5 ribbons: Beatrix, Willem-Alexander, Maxima, Margriet and Pieter.
The grand mastress was seated next to the prime minister and was called 'Your Excellence'.

When will this family go on their usual summer vacation in Italy? Will there be a photoshoot for this or should we be content with Alexia's photoshoot?

I thought the last weeks of July and the first weeks of August are the planned holidays for The Queen to stay in Italy.
The mediaeval retreat Rocco dei Dragoni in Tavarnelle val di Pesa actually is owned by the three brothers, Prince Willem-Alexander, Prince Friso and Prince Constantijn. Already since their adolescency, by the way.
The other royal retreat, Il Elefante Felice in Porto Ercole, has been sold.

Has it already been sold? I though it was still on sale, as some in the boulevard press are commenting that Bernhards illegitemate daughters are getting impatient and want their money, which is not possible as some properties still have to be sold.

No it is not sold yet.And as to the daughters, they already had most of their share last year as Alicia has stated and was reported here and on Royalblog, all that remains is the Italian property to be sold and shared.

A pity that the Prince of Orange didn't take it, probably too public for him and his young family but still, considering the history it would have been nice...

As the old saying goes,"talk about the devil, and you step on his tail",apparently the villa has just been sold.

Incredible that Bernhard was able to pull that off and Juliana had to look the other way, even in her own house! I know that in those days royal traditions and such were different and not as 'bourgeois' as now, but still... in your own house!
