Thank you for the Remembrance Day photos and videos. I've always appreciated these events and believe that the monarch should lead the ceremony.

As for the Liberation Day concert dress...well

Princess Margriet and Prof. Pieter van Vollenhoven attended a ceremony at Holten, Netherlands, to remember those Canadians who lost their lives while fighting to liberate the Netherlands during WWII. The Canadian prime minister also attended.

Nice that they invited the Canadian PM and his wife, considering the role of Canada in the liberation of our country.

A nice and solemn ceremony. Good speech from Ahmed Aboutaleb, the Moroccoan-born Mayor of the second largest city of the Netherlands (Rotterdam).

Poignant indeed Jacknch, even more so since yesterday was Remembrance Day again, and there's no thread on the 2016 ceremony here,at all....

It was all beautifully done, very moving, very impressive.

And in Rhenen at the Grebbeberg, venue of fierce fighting in the early days of WW II it was HRH Princess Margriet and Mr.Pieter and their 3rd son HH Prince Pieter-Christiaan who were in attendance.
