maxima and laurentien were just wonderful. i loved both dresses... they were stunning.

Mabel and Johan Friso lost their right to the throne and do not belong to the royal house anymore, so no need for them on the balcony. They will never attend important state occassions (only family functions).

Thanks for the pictures!
Princess Margaret looks the best of all of them. I can't say I care too much for Laurentien's outfit though. The swirly green pattern ... Though her jewellery was very nice.

Everyone looks really excited an happy.:)
Princess Margriet looks really elegant in her suit. I like Princess Maxima's tweed jacket and dress, seperately but not together. I think Princess Laurentien's pearl and emerald joker is simply BEAUTIFUL! :)

Anyone else find it interesting that on the balcony it was WA/Maxima in the center and not Queen Beatrix? Very unusual.

No, Beatrix stands in the middle of the balcony,I saw it on tv. She walked to the center of the balcony, her sister an Mr. van vollenhoven next to her, on her left, and then the Prince of Orange and his wife came, they stood to her rightside, but then the last couple came, and they choose to stand on the rightside.....
