HM Queen Beatrix accompanied by TRH The Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima will visit the Caribbean islands of the Kingdom from friday october 28th till sunday november 6th.

After the new Statute the islands of Curacao and St.Maarten became autonomous last year october while the islands of Bonaire,Saba and St.Eustatius became Dutch Municipalities by referendum. The island of Aruba already enjoyed its Status Aparte for several years now.

No doubt it will be an enormously warm visit, not only due to the climate but due to the fact the House of Orange is immensily popular, loved & respected in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom too.

It will be the first time HM and TRH visit the Islands together.
A visit to look forward to.:)

Where do they stay when visiting the islands? Governors residence, hotel, private villa, a rented yacht?

Mostly in a top hotel, like fe when Members of the RF are on Curacao, they used to prefer the Avila Beach hotel,or better its annex, for decades.

oh, maxima is the epitome of happiness! i love how she is always smiling and laughing. besides, it doesn't look at all unnatural, she's genuinely having fun. it's great to see.
her relationship with beatrix is obviously one of the best queen-daughter in law relationships in the royal circle.

she looked great in blue. i think she should dress a bit more simple. all that fru-fru doesn't really suit her.

From what I can grasp from the first pics, the princess looks beautiful.

The first day on Curacao ended in a huge gathering at Brion Square where HM spontaniously speech and ended in the local language, papiamentu;"Masha Danki mi dushi Korsou"...Thank you very much my beloved Curacao.
It had the crowds roaring and applauding Her Majesty.
