NOS Nieuws - Koningin Beatrix helpt met puppy's
Queen Beatrix, princess Margriet and princess Aimee (I think), helped out at a dog-training-centre for people with a physical disability who are aided in their daily routine by the dogs (video top right).

Has the Royal families participation in this annual event boosted the number of citizens doing volunteer work in their communities, and is it for more than just 1 day a year?

Well yes,The Netherlands has the most volunteers per capita worldwide, and growing as between 3 to 4 million of us Dutch are involved with volunteer work.Out of "a mere 17 million" ..,I don't think that's a bad score...at all.:)

They do make a difference, even in very difficult times.

The next Make a Difference day/weekend will be on March 15th and 16th
and it will be business as usual, just like in former years.
