Most of this weeks programme 'Blauw Bloed' is about the state visit:

In her speech at the Dutch embassy, the Queen is thanking the staff and she says that she understood that they didn't make it easy for the embassy staff & had some 'extravagant' wishes (like the visit to the circus). Now, did HM actually comment on those '
simple people' (that participate with the circus/integration project? A slip of the tongue, but an embarrassing one IMHO.
Are there any pictures of the royals visiting the prince of Lippe and his Schloss? I haven't seen any thus far.
It seems that Máxima needed a translator to follow german, although she was able to say a few words and expressions. The Queen and prince are fluent of course.

One of the main issues int he press was if this would be the farewell visit of HM to Germany. When the queen was asked about it by a journalist she replied: 'als u vraagt naar de bekende weg, krijgt u geen antwoord en als u vraagt naar de onbekende weg, krijgt u ook geen antwoord'. (when you are asking about the familiar way, you won't get an awnser and when you are asking about the unfamiliar way, you won't get an awnser either)... so basicaully saying that she won't comment on any abdication plans, as the journalist obviously knows.

According to 'De gelderlander' some Dutch journalists complained about the German photographers, who were more agressive. Climbing over church benches to get a good picture of the royal party in Dresden, while the bishop was holding a sermon.
