I'm really, really glad the Dutch royals take care of Mabel, so to speak, making sure she's about and about, and not hidden in her shell.
Queen Beatrix is a brilliant mother-in-law!

Are the children of Constantijn and Friso treated like royals or like commoners?

That doesn't answer the question. Are the treated as commoners or people with royal titles? Are they ignored by the press or hounded with their families?

They are treated like normal children. Officially they have a title, but the Dutch are generally uninpressed with people using titles.

Ignored by both press and public. Nobody really cares about the minor members and like SLV said, us Dutch people are not impressed by titles.

If you are not impressed by titles, or what they stand for, monarchy means what? Genuine question here because Beatrix, WA and Maxima don't do anything else. I believe some Dutch RF members have other jobs, yes?

They all have other jobs since they have the grey cells to lead succesfull lives in what they do,plus,we don't do free-loaders!!..Here only the Monarch, his or her spouse and the former Monarch get an allowance. And ofcourse Princess Amalia as soon as she reaches the age of 18.But only her,not her sisters.

Besides that they have a examplary role they all are very well aware of the need to have usefull lives, private lives, business lives and that living of the State is passé in this day and age.All have made careers of their own without making ass*s of themselves...No,we proud ourselves to have the bunch we have.Very much so.Tamam?..

I´m sure you meant to say that the Monarch, his/her Spouse, the former monarch and the heir get an allowance, right?

What about the spouse of the heir, does (s)he gets an allowance?

It is as I said, and yes, eventually the spouse of the Heir gets an allowance too,I thought that obvious as that information is all on the Royal House website.

I can't speak on behalf of every Dutch person ofcourse, but I think most of us see our Royal Family as our country's PR. We'd rather see Maxima and W-A representing us abroad than that loser that calls himself our prime minister.

I'd say we think of our family generally the same as the British.

Well, you just completely forgot about the heir in your post about who gets an allowance and when reading on one could understand it that way that Pss Amalia is in a special position, where she will gets an allowance under all circumstances That´s why I wrote as I did (in this quote I have made the text in bold)
