Mrs. Crince le Roy worked as a physiotherapist in the navy for a few years and is involved in the Erasmus foundation and the Schoonoord foundation in Rotterdam. Until recently she was a supervisor of the Rotterdam Noordsingel prison.

She comes from a patrician family and married into a patrician family with roots in the former Dutch East Indies.

Wikipedia has an explanation:
Patrician (post-Roman Europe) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Netherlands also has a patriciate. It consists of extremely old and or well known Dutch families. These are registered in Nederland's Patriciaat, colloquially called The Blue Book. A listing can be found here. To be eligible for entry, families must have played an active and important role in Dutch society, fulfilling high positions in the government, in prestigious commissions and in other prominent public posts for over six generations or 150 years.
The longer a family has been listed in the Blue Book, the higher its esteem. The earliest entries are often families seen as co-equal to the high nobility (barons and counts), because they are the younger branches of the same family or have continuously married members of the Dutch nobility over a long period of time.
There are "regentenfamilies", whose forefathers were active in the administration of town councils, counties or the country itself during the Dutch Republic. Some of these families declined ennoblement because they did not keep a title in such high regard. At the end of the 19th century, they still proudly called themselves "patriciers". Other families belong to the patriciate because they are held in the same regard and respect as the nobility but for certain reasons never were ennobled. Even within the same important families there can be branches with and without noble titles.
The noble position of the lowest rank of the Dutch nobility is jonkheer, or untitled nobility. It could be seen as co-equal to the average non-noble patrician family; the lower nobility in the Netherlands is becoming more common, less noble, and is taking the form of the bourgeois upper middle-class instead of the upper-class.

The king and queen have a new personal assistent: Eveline van der Bent (30). She has been working for the court since 2006. I believe she was a nanny of the three princesses during the Olympics in London at least.

Marco Hennis, grand master of the king, will represent HM at the funeral of Els Borst-Eilers. Els Borst was health care minister from 1994-2002, leader of party D66 and vice prime minister 1998-2002, and later minister of state. She has been found murdered in her house in Bilthoven earlier this week.

Five ladies-in-waiting have left the court and received a honorary cross in the house order:

- Ietje van Karnebeek - van Lede
- Miente Boellaard - Stheemann
- Elisabeth baroness van Wassenaer - Mersmans
- Reina jonkvrouwe de Blocq van Scheltinga (formerly Teixeira de Mattos)
- Julie Jeekel - Thate

No surprises here except perhaps that Lieke van Gaarlandt - van Voorst van Beesd stayed on and that Bss Elizabeth van Wassenaer left after a relatively short period of 10 years.

It has pleased His Majesty The King to appoint as Grootmeesteres: the high- and wellborn lady Maria Louise Alexandra ('Bibi') Baroness van Zuylen van Nijevelt née Jonkvrouw den Beer Poortugael.

In 2011 the new Grootmeesteres entered into the Civil Household as Hofdame of Queen Beatrix and remained in service after the abdication. The Grootmeesteres is the highest female functionary of the Civil Household and "leads" the Hofdames. The Baroness has a background as financial analyst by two banks. She is also member of the Boards of the Museum "Sculptures At Sea" in The Hague and of Go4Children, aimed to encourage research of new medication to fight childrens' cancer. Her spouse, Philip Hugo Baron van Zuylen van Nijevelt is one of the two CEO's in the family's estate Duinrell near Wassenaar (region The Hague). Part of the family estate has been transformed into a large and succesful (water)fun theme park with bungalows to render income.

The new Grootmeesteres will replace Martine Louise Amelie van Loon née Labouchère whom held that high and honourful position for more than 30 years (from 1983 on).

Not very surprising that Martine van Loon stops, but I will mis her presence. She is very dignified but also a rather funny lady. It is also not surprising that the new grand mastress will be Bibi van Zuylen. She serves the longest of the new ladies-in-waiting and she has the most impressive background.

I wonder if the queen will get a new lady-in-waiting now Baroness van Zuylen (who is half Italian btw) is 'promoted'.

I love it that the Dutch King still involves persons from old families into the Household. The families Van Karnebeek, Van Voorst van Beesd, Van Munster van Heuven, Van Zuylen van Nijevelt (Hofdames) but also Röell, Schimmelpennick van der Oye, De Graeff, Van Lanschot, Ten Cate, Wegener Sleeswijk, De Wijkerslooth de Weerdesteyn, Houben, Von der Feltz, Van Tuyll van Serooskerken (Kamerheren) all come from families with histories of service to the Royal House.

I don't think this was posted yet: the farewell reception of Martine van Loon-Labouchere:

Among the people present: the king, queen, princess Beatrix, princess Margriet, Pieter van Vollenhoven, Prince Maurits (on bike), Princess Margarita & husband, Real estate investor Cor van Zadelhoff, architect Cees Dam - who seems to be a regular companion of Mrs. van Loon, former Euro commissioner Neelie Kroes, lawyer Oscar Hammerstein, Hans van Manen, former director of the national ballet etc.

Was Martine Labouchere a Dutch noble?

Martine Louise Amélie van Loon née Labouchere formerly Delprat belongs to the Patriciate (families with generations of high standing). The family Labouchere owned the Bank Labouchere (a private equity bank, now merged into a larger banking concern).

Her first husband was Daniël Apolonius Delprat, a shipping magnate and member of the First Chamber (Senate). The family Delprat belongs to the Patriciate.

After the death of her first husband, the former Grandmastress married with Jonkheer Maurits Nanning van Loon. The family Van Loon belongs to the Nobility.

Interesting that they often recruit grootofficieren at the Court from the Corps Diplomatique. It is Always good for your CV when you can mention the Dienst Koninklijk Huis as your employer.

:previous:

According to royal blog, Beatrix introduced a circulation system for courtiers with Foreign affairs and other departments, to prevent the court from being stuck with the same people for decades.

His Majesty The King was pleased to have his new china and the new crystalware delivered to be used at official state banquets. It is decorated with Delft Blue in a more contemporary design. Both the new china as well the crystalware have the monogram of the current royal couple, an intertwined W and M.

The Household of His Majesty The King has new livery for their "klein tenue" (daily tenue), so this is NOT used for the grandest ceremonial events like State Banquets.

Oh yes...the prize tag for the King's new tableware was 1.600.000,-- Euro (appr. 1,791,000.-- USD).

Not just the intertwined monogram and the contemporary design is what makes this a feast for the eye,it's also the strong link with the past of the House of Orange. The bird, the IJsvogel in Dutch (Alcedo Atthis in Latin) that graces the china, the favorite bird of Willem the Silent plus the "Saevis Tranquilis in undis",his personal "lijfspreuk "both used in combination by Willem the Silent.Beautifully done exquisit china referring to the founder of the House plus to the great grandmother of HM,Queen Wilhelmina who had the bird in the design of the cover of her biography.

The price tag is peanuts as it is used to represent the State, not family BBQ's.
