SC, do you know the answer to my question about whether sheikhas/normal emirati girls can hang out in public with their male relatives?
they can ONLY hang out with their male relatives (brother/father-only) and well that's not going to be too much fun because anything the girls says or does will be told to daddy upon setting foot back in the house.

girls hang out with other girls, though.

Someone asked about retribution for talking about the Maktoums in the horseracing business. If you talk about them or their deals or what they had for lunch they won't do business with you anymore. Which is pretty devastating since the 3 brothers basically keep horseracing in America alive.
didn't we already clarify this disfunction...can you say narcisistic control FREAK!!!!

I think the Sheikhas are allowed to hang out at the mall like in Kuwait, Bahrain, Dubai perhaps - but I think they are watched over, surely by bodyguards.... also aren't they always being watched, especially when they think no one is watching....?

What about in Saudi Arabia? Aren't women not allowed to go out alone period...?

The men get a blind eye turned to their "misbehaving" but the women are under more scrutiny. In Saudi women are only allowed out with male family memebers workers (ie bodygaurds) or your husband and you have to show your marriage cert on request

Charmy, is Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid also a womanizer? Or shall we spare the details for our coming get-togethers?

I don't know to much about Baba Hamdan.

I think, and this is my speculation, Hind was never photographed because their marriage is of a different era. In the past Muslim Arab wives were never to be even seen by other men let alone be photographed. Their purpose was more to be the mother of the childern that have been bread so calculated.

Dubai has only had independence for just over 30 years and Hind/Mo's union is over 25 years. If you have seen pictures of dubai that date more then 10 years ago it looks like a flat, desert, 3rd world county they were all still very much Bedouin when they got married.
