Shaikh Hamad is married to Shaikha Fatima bint Thani Al Maktoum of the Ruling Family of Dubai. He has six children, three boys and three girls.

Sheikh Mohammed (b.1986) was appointed Crown Prince on the 8th of January 2007.

Shaikh Rashid (b.1987) is head of the media department of Fujairah and head of the Tennis Association of Fujairah.
They are both continuing their university studies in the United Kingdom at the British American College in London (2008).

Sheikh Maktoum (b.1991) is currently studying in school in Fujairah.
