For U.S. Food Elite, an Unlikely (Crowned ) Hero

WHEN Prince Charles gazes from the upstairs windows at Highgrove, his home near this tiny town in the English countryside, he can see a tree planted by the Dalai Lama. It grows near a field of rare British wildflowers, which fade into a row of box hedges trimmed to frame four small busts of the prince’s head. Tigga, his late, beloved Jack Russell terrier, is immortalized in a relief sculpture on a nearby garden wall, behind which a longtime gardener prepares the ground for the prince’s favorite vegetables, potatoes and Brussels sprouts.

You're welcome Iceflower and thank you for the pictures of the Prince.

Thanks for the article, milla Ca. I feel trully happy every time the Prince is acknowledged for what he does. I may have that Prince fever as well.

He looks so great in that NY Times picture. He is always so well-looking. It is wonderful to see him taking such excellent care of himself and aging so "gracefully," as they say. I wish that his organic and healthy lifestyle would influence all of his relatives. Because he eats so healthily and does not abuse any kind of harmful substances, he is aging marvelously, with great skin and hair and good, sturdy bones.

It's good to hear and see that the Prince has been a part of this ecological push for so many years. So much that is happening today with environmental and ecological issues are really talk done in the past, but only recently has the media made such issues of them because of climatic change. Bravo to the Prince.

The issues he encourages can never be emphasized enough. There will never be "too much" concern for ecological issues, because there cannot be too much. It is the most important thing, above everything. Without the earth, there is no ....earth! Certainly no us, no computers, nothing.

The following ones are also quite nice and funny as to his face expressions

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-In-Chief of The Army Air Corps, visiting the Defence Helicopter Flying School at RAF Shawbury near Shrewsbury on Thursday 3rd May 2007. His visit was to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the school and to meet military students and instructors from the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force. I think they got that wrong, no trainees serve in Iraq or Afghanistan!

Cutting a cake with your sword can be a tricky business!

At least it looked like sugarpaste, though. Even a sword would have a hard time with royal icing unless the cake had been discreety precut.
