Exclamation Diana and despair.

Yesterday night there was a TV show on the twenty events that shocked the french. The death of Diana was one of them. And an other thing really surprised me, the rate of suicide in the UK increased of 17 % in the week following her death ! It's madness !

Well, it may be madness, but it's pretty well documented:

Its kinda a surprise that the Daily Mail would admit that they had a hand in Diana's death.

The News Biscuit is a comedy website - not a news website:. They wrote the piece about the Daily Mail admitting they did it as a satire.

NewsBiscuit: About NewsBiscuit

Here what it says on its About NewsBiscuit page:

Quote:
About NewsBiscuit
NewsBiscuit was founded in September 2006 to create a new outlet for British humour on the internet. It currently has a small team of regular contributors who write for NewsBiscuit for the love of it. If you would like to submit stuff for consideration, please go to You Write The News. Other ideas such as doctored photos, video downloads and audio files may also be welcome later if we don’t fold in the first year with massive debts and various pending lawsuits. But at the moment our target is one news story per day, every day, all of which can be read in the archives under the appropriate headings.
NewsBiscuit is a loss making enterprise put together by a few comedy writers and desperately needs outside support if it is to keep going. The site currently does not make nearly enough money from advertising to pay its overheads let alone make a dent in the start up costs so all donations, small or large would be very gratefully received.

My bad, I misinterputed the article. And I usually don't do that.

lol the article was soo funny. I guess it was apprioate for Sarah and Diana to behave like that back then. But now Fergie seems very immature.

They need to either clean up that fountain immediately. Or tear down that fountain and buld a suitable memorial to The Princess of Wales.

They really need to do something about that fountain. But I don't know how Diana's ghost haunts Kensington Palace. There are just alot of reminders of The Princess since that was her royal home.

Strange headline, there is nothing about any haunting in the article, just that there is an exhibition of pictures and old clothes. Someone should also point out that if any children can get through to the fountain, they are not allowed to paddle in the slime.

The problem is that we don't need a statue or a fountain to commerate the memory of The Princess of Wales. Having a children's hospital, medical center or a hospice named in her honor would have been suffice. But no, we have a fountain where the water has slime in it. I believe her memorial fund was in charge of building that fountain. Why haven't they done anything to clean it up?

You may well ask. There's no reason why this water feature shouldn't work perfectly; there are others all over the world which do just fine. Goodness knows why they chose such a clunker for this one, and goodness knows why they aren't trying to fix it now they know what its problems are.

There already is such a hospital-the NHS children's hospital in Birmingham is named for Diana. The Queen even attended the re-dedication ceremony.

To me, the playground in Kensington Gardens is a wonderfully appropriate memorial.

The original concept of the fountain-the water representing the turbulent and peaceful periods of Diana's life, etc-was lovely. It sure didn't translate well to reality, though.

The trustees of the Diana fund do not pay for it's upkeep, they didn't even pay all the money to build it. To repair it, they would have to take the whole thing down and nobody wants to pay out for that.

Oh, I didn't know that there was a children's hospital named after her.
Well I sent an e-mail to the memorial fund expressing my dissapointment of the state of the fountain. I hope they e-mail me back.

Who paid to build it and who pays for its upkeep?

The childrens hospital in Birmingham is simply called the Birmingham Childrens Hospital
There are others that were named after her before her death and some that were called The Princess of Wales Hospital before Diana married Charles.
