Correct but you would not salute if not in uniform. So if the Queen is present, then only officers in uniform would salute

You hit the nail on the head; he looks as if he has been doing this all his life, and yes, he's very dashing in his uniform. He is carrying himself like a monarch that he will become.

Before today's Christening, William went hunting with his friends and took a helicopter back to KP.

"Prince William returned from a hunting trip with friends this evening, landing at the Kensington Palace in London via helicopter."

There is really nothing in those photos to suggest he was hunting. There are people in tweed but he could have been visiting duchy of Cornwall lands. It was reported that William was going to spend time learning the ins and outs of the duchy. It just seems weird to be going hunting on a Tuesday a day before your kid is christened.

Yes he is. He has grown into a very good man and Diana would be exceptionally proud of him Im sure. It would have been so nice if she could have held his little son as well.

First- The Duke + people = magical. Love those photos. Prince William in a tuxedo=
Second- Really looking forward to this. Love that William shares compassion, not judgement. Good for a future king.

Shades of Princess Diana there, with William observing operations

Looking forward to this. William is so good at this type of visit. He is a braver man than I watching live operations. I guess having a few major operations does make me eager to go back to the OR.
Does remind me of Princess Diana.
Wonder how William will look in OR garb?

I'm guessing he'll be in the operating room or in the gallery overlooking the operations.

The Duke of Cambridge will represent the Queen at a groundbreaking ceremony for a Korean War Memorial in London on November 5.

Prince William will join South Korean President Park Geun-hye at a Korean War memorial ceremony on Nov 5 during her state visit to the UK.

William will join the president for the ground-breaking ceremony of a new Korean War Memorial at Victoria Embankment Gardens on November 5

But the prince won't be joined by wife, Kate. Neither will they take part in the glittering state banquet at Buckingham Palace next week....

You're spot on there. This man has the 'people' skills most politicians and public figures would only dream of possessing, and his compassion, and kind heart only add to this charm.

This will be an interesting visit for sure. I'm glad William is taking such interest in the happenings of his charities, as well as in those who benefit from them. Says a lot about him as a human being.

You're spot on again. I give him a great deal of credit for being able to do something like this. I know that I have trouble staying calm when students get a scratch with a drop of blood, so to watch an entire operation would probably send me to the nearest Emergency Room, due to a fainting spell.

Given an opportunity they press will try to make a Diana reference. Just like they did with Kate wearing a polka dot dress leaving the Lindo Wing just like Diana even though the dresses were not similar other than polka dot.
