I don't mind Camilla at all, and like seeing her more regularly. However, now that I am seeing her more, I wish she would update her hairstyle a bit.

If it has not happended in the last 40 years, how likely is it that she will now change her hairstyle?

Change her hairstyle? Why? It suits her perfectly.

KittyAtlanta, we will have to disagree. I think it needs to be a bit shorter, and not so bluntly cut. A little feathering, some light layers on top - something a bit more modern, less geometric, would be a welcome change.

I think it makes her jaw look overly prominent and that could be helped with a better style.

I agree it's unlikely to happen (and also opine that it doesn't suit most tiaras).

It's probably just one of those 24-hour bugs, but I do hope she's feeling better by the time she and the PoW go on their foreign tour. A few years ago I read in The Spectator that, when they were on a tour of India, she was suffering from gastroenteritis. Between that and the heat, it was rather difficult for her, but she soldiered on.

She actually cancelled more than a few for stomach, uterine, back, heat, etc. Compared to QEII, who has IIRC cancelled 2 in the last decade, one due to 9/11. HM knows the definition of 'soldier on' something her daughter in law should learn.

In the past the engagement she cancelled have all been rescheduled and she completed them all.

The Queen has also cancelled attendence at events due to illness over the years. One that comes to mind is the official opening of the Arsenal Stadium, (the Queen had a heavy cold)the Duke of Edninburgh had to fill in for her but the plaque still says opened by Her Majesty the Queen)

They most certainly have not all been rescheduled and completed. Can you please provide a link to support that? I can list the engagements she has missed and not rescheduled and completed if you like.
Here is an article discussing THe Queen missing a few engagements for illness back in 2005/6 which I believe is the last time it happened. www.ww2.whdh.com/news/articles/world/BO32270

I have to say something about this...
I know compared to HM the DOC may not seem able to carry on as well sometimes, but members of the BRF are human, and get sick sometimes. Camilla should not be blamed for canceling engagements if she is ill. That goes for any member of the BRF.
Neither should she be blamed for not rescheduling. She has a very tight schedule.

I do think we need to make allowances here. After all she IS human and fallible to the same maladies that the rest of us from time to time.

I agree--I doubt Camilla would have cancelled unless she was really ill. I think the Queen and Prince Philip's lack of cancelling events is due less to soldiering on than to the fact that they rarely get sick. When they are ill, they cancel events just like anyone else would. I know the Queen cancelled some appearances in Canada in 1959 because she was suffering from morning sickness (she was pregnant with Prince Andrew).

Some people get sick more often than others and I have the impression that Camilla may be one of them, because I have seen more stories of her cancelling events. I never get stomach bugs--I've only had one in my life and I haven't been sick to my stomach in 18 years. But I know other people who seem to catch these bugs at least once a year.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...y-trouble.html

Hmm--just found this article--it looks like Camilla has cancelled events due to stomach bugs at least twice before (in addition to her other health problems). I was just curious because I do see a lot more stories of Camilla cancelling events for health reasons, than other members of the royal family. The "blood royals" just have iron constitutions and rarely get sick, I guess--but that's not always true of the people who marry into the royal family.

As Lutmutqueen said in another thread, it is unacceptable for Camilla to do less than DoE does at close to 30 years her senior. This has nothing to do with some people 'get sick' more often. When EVER did you read any member of the BRF say I dislike heat and I will leave the official state tour HALF WAY THROUGH , more than once, but it's ok if I'm cruising the greek islands on a zillion $ yacht with my relatives. Seriously.
I have to put the baby to bed now, but I will post the links tomorrow and we can discuss it.

I am not saying that the DOC is without faults. I am saying she is human, and she falls ill a lot.
