It is quite interesting just how down-to-earth the Queen and her family are when in private, but I'm not sure I like the fact Cherie is basically using anything and anyone to promote her tell-all book. Some things should remain private, I believe. :ermm:

Especially as the queen has to invite her Prime Ministers and their wifes, whoever they are. So in the end it will probably only mean that the RF feels beleaguered even by those they cannot avoid.

I love the Queen when she goes to the races. She is always herself and looks so happy to be there. That is something she really thoroughly enjoys.

Thank you giov. :flowers: A lovely bright outfit that HM can carry so well. :flowers:

I love the colour of the Queen's outfit today. Very summery indeed.

I love that pink suit Queen Elizabeth II is wearing beautiful. Her hat matches her suit very well. The style is very summer-like. Where was she at in that photo from yesterday?

I think the Queen wore this outfit when she visited America last year. I remember the hat at least.:flowers:

Actually she first wore this at Ascot last year, then more recently in Turkey - but not in the USA.
Maybe you're confusing this brown & cream outfit it with the striking black & white one she wore at the White House?

Always expressive--no poker face here

I wonder what Her Majesty is thinking here? (Recent trip to Turkey)

I do love this suit--unusual combination of navy and lime green. Even the hem is lime green.

This is from the Trooping the Color celebration this year.

I thought at first glance this was black coat but this close up from the Heathrow terminal opening shows red and black undertones.

The Garter ceremony must be tiring this year. I'm sure all of this regalia is not comfortable but it is stunning!

Also from the trip to Turkey:

All ladies love shopping ;)

I also loved the fuschia and pink dresses posted from the past couple of weeks. I love that HM is not afraid of color but looking at older photos she hasn't been in the past either.

Great pictures! He looks so incredibly grumpy in these. Perhaps he wasn't feeling well. Ever notice that the Duke always looks like he's about to mumble something?:)

That green feather is unusual, but I like it. :flowers:

Sometimes I think the British tabloids just want to tear the monarchy down.

Sun's headlines today blare out that the Queen is a Burger Queen and leads you to believe that the Queen has bought a McDonalds franchise.

When you read the article you find out that the Crown Estates has bought some land that a McDonalds sits on.

Talk about misleading. This story has hit some of the German mags too.
