It's good to see Her Majesty up and about. I hope she is feeling better, but I still wonder is she will be able to perform the Opening of Parliament.

I agree but I can tell she is holding herself very stiff & still, a sure sign she is definitely experiencing pain

I'm glad you liked it! It really made me smile and I think it showed the great relationship the Queen had with her mother.

Nice pics. Thanks, Avalon.

Her Majesty is wearing a silver fern brooch - nice touch! Do any of the Kiwis on the list know the story of that brooch?

On the occasion of the Queen's coronation, The Queen was presented with a diamond fern brooch by the women of Auckland on her visit to New Zealand. That is all I know :)

Where did the rumour come from in the first place? I've never heard it before.

Why do people start such rumours!! But it does seems as though the Queen is still in a great deal of pain. I noticed that during the New Zealand war tribute, her majesty seemed to be walking and even talking rather slowly, but that could do with her back medication.

What I dont understand is, this wasn't a rumour. There hadn't been any mention of it. So why are the Royalist reporting it? Are they starting a rumour just to have it denied so they can report a rumour being denied? Truly baffling.
