Thanks for the pictures from UK Press GrandDuchess. The Queen looks very happy and chipper in these pictures, rain and all!

Red with gold fringe

I love the way she stands on a portable, double-level, red with gold fringe dais to watch the little parade go by.

Out in the rain - she's a trooper!

Prince Philip attend the Mass in Vatican today:

I watched the whole Mass and I couldn't see him!!!

The man on the first row is King Albert, isn't he?
Well, they showed all these people at least five or six times. And each time I looked at them very carefully. And I looked especially at the second row - he mast be there, I thought - I looked behind that bishop all the times! I'm sure, because he was very visible, and the king next to him.
And I couldn't see Philip when he arrived, because the broadcast bagan just before the arrival of King Juan Carlos and the others were already in place.
But he was there! I am blind.

Today:
The Queen
will unveil the National Police Memorial on Cambridge Green, The Mall, London SW1.

I have a question. VE Day will be celebrated next week on 8 May. Where will Queen Elizabeth II celebrate it? Hopefully someone will answer this, please..

Ephram,
Next Sunday 8th May:
The Prince of Wales10:30a.m.
and The Duchess of Cornwall will attend a Service to mark the 60th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, Cenotaph, Whitehall, London.

On Monday 9th May:
The Queen & The Duke of Edinburgh
will visit Guernsey and Jersey to mark the celebration of the Sixtieth Anniversary of Liberation.

The Duke of Kent
will attend a Wreath Laying Ceremony on the 60th Anniversary of VE Day, at the Soviet War Memorial, Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road, London SE1.

And also the important and more great celebrations will be in July:
Saturday 9th July:
The Queen
will unveil a monument to the Women of World War II in Whitehall, London SW1.

Sunday 10th July:
The Queen & The Duke of Edinburgh
will attend a National Service of Remembrance and Commemoration for the end of the Second World War at Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

The Queen & The Duke of Edinburgh
will give a lunch for Second World War Veterans in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

The Queen & The Duke of Edinburgh
will attend the National Commemoration of the end of the Second World War on Horse Guards Parade, London SW1, and will view a flypast from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

The Celebrations in July is expected to be attended by all The Royal Family.I think maybe:
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall
Prince William and Harry of Wales
The Duke of York
The Earl and Countess of Wessex
The Princess Royal and her husband
The Duke and the Duchess of Gloucester
The Duke of Kent
Princess Alexandra of kent
Prince and Princess Michael of Kent

It is said that The Queen has invited the Duchess of Cornwall to be there. And it is said that Prince Charles hopes he can appear with the Duchess and both william and Harry.
