As Prince Charles and Mrs Camilla are to marry now, they had some questions about The Queen's health.I'm afraid of that.

I don't think there is anything to worry about. HM is in good shape for a woman of her age. I think part of the reason the Queen has approved of Prince Charles's marriage to Mrs. Parker-Bowles though is the fact she knows that she is in the "sun set" of her reign. She is nearly 80 and I think she figures that even if she lives as long as her mother, she'll reign for another 20 years. By allowing Charles to marry while she is still in good health, the public will have time get "comfortable" to Prince Charles being married to Camilla. That way by the time he becomes King, everyone will be used to he and Camilla being a married couple.

The Queen has cut down on her duties, as mentioned above, but she has been cutting down on her duties slightly since the end of her Golden Jubilee in 2002. She has a number of engagments set for the summer. She'll be in Canada for over a week this coming May for example.

I agree with HMQueenElizabethII

HM Queen still in good shape but she never let down! because she nearly 80 years old her mother the Queen Mother still strong health for long times for more years! but she never let down! if HM Queen 2 would let down im not sure when!

I compared this period with the same on last year on the official site:

from 19 February to 31 March 2004: 17 engagements (according to the list published on 18 February 2004)

from 16 February to 31 March 2005: 16 engagements (according to the list published on 16 February 2005)

New engagements are added to list weekly, so (I checked all the lists until the end of March 2004) engagements were 20 between 19 February and 31 March 2004.

I am not so sure that she has reduced her engagements recently. In 1999 I printed the biographies from the site: the Queen undertook 343 engagements in 1997.
She undertook 436 in 2004 (UK and oversea). Probably the 343 engagements of 1997 are UK only, therefore the total must be about the same in 1997 and 2004.

I think that maybe they have not arrange more visit of The Queen yet and still have not added it yet.Maybe the next added will be more visit of Her Majesty.

So i hope that they will add more visits of Her Majesty on the add next time.

Tomorrow The Queen will have an engagement in London. On Friday this week,The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will undertake engagements in Bristol.

I agree. Her health is extremely good for a lady of nearly 79 years.

Queen's Guards are animals

World renowned ... but The Queen's Guards are under fire after explosive allegations

By TOM NEWTON DUNN

TWISTED Queen’s Guards made a horse drink huge amounts of alcohol in a cruel prank.

Soldiers forced eight cans of strong Stella and a bottle of red wine down the animal before it went out on parade.

The claims were probed last night by the RSPCA and Army.

I have to say that ensemble is magnificent. She seems to only improve with age.

Queen won't miss wedding... Ken Barlow's, that is

She won't be attending her son's wedding - but there is one register office marriage the Queen is determined to witness on April 8.

In the corridors of Buckingham Palace it has even been hinted that the desire not to miss the evening ceremony lies behind the Queen's decree that Charles and Camilla's wedding reception is finished by 6pm at the latest.

According to one Royal source: "Her Majesty is a huge fan of Coronation Street. She rarely misses it and it has been pointed out, only half-jokingly, that Deirdre and Ken Barlow's wedding is screening the same day that Charles and Camilla get married.

"It's an hour-long special and the Queen wants to be comfortably in front of the telly for the 7.30 start."

As one aide rather pointedly observed: "The Queen's really looking forward to watching Deirdre and Ken get married."
