That's a fantastic picture of QE. She certainly doesn't look anything close to her age!

Despite her age, she still have that same smile as she did when she was a little girl and young woman.

It seemed that the Queen has been taking inspiration from this season's catwalks with her on-trend pink pastel outfit today.

The 87-year-old joined her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh on a visit to Lloyd's of London.

Prince Phillip joked about whether the Royal Collection is insured for damage by mice and asked about financial cover for the priceless paintings, furniture, silverware and ceramics which make up the collection amassed by sovereigns over the centuries.

She has the most wonderful smile. Her whole face lights up.

I'm so proud to have such a charming and dignified Head of State! :flowers:

Wonderful! I can only hope that at 88 I am half as active as this wonderful woman. She truly is an inspiration and a great example of what one can achieve.

HM looks very elegant in this color........it brings warmth to her face and is becoming on her. It is really nice to see her still out doing what she does best, meeting the people and recognizing the good that they do. Concerts are also a great stress reliever.

iceflower, Thank you for these photographs and the dailymail article.
I like the peach color of the Queen's hat and outfit.
An organ concert is a marvelous event to attend.:wave:

* The Queen was at Newbury this afternoon to see her horse in the 4.45
* Bay filly Enliven was introduced to racing fan President Higgins, yesterday
* Unfortunately, Enliven could only manage a seventh place finish

The Queen grimaces as her horse trots into a paltry seventh place finish at Newbury | Mail Online

All I have to say is that if she is a horse racing fan and he's a horse racing fan then the logical conclusion is the Queen and President Higgins probably formed quite a warm and enthusiastic friendship. Gotta love it.
