HM has such a radiant smile, I think she's one of those people who make others smile when she does. Lovely photos of her and Prince Philip (who is looking remarkably fit and well for his age) visiting Reed's School.

Jauntily waving a Union flag and happily demonstrating the perfect curtsey, a very patriotic fan was waiting for the Queen as she visited Reed's School in Cobham this morning.
But this was no average well-wisher: Instead, the Queen was greeted by a robot Royal enthusiast made by pupils at the school.
Despite being unable to offer much in the way of small talk, the 2ft robot certainly seemed to get the royal seal of approval, as the Queen looked on, apparently fascinated by its antics.

Interesting that she married late in life.

The longevity of the Bowes-Lyon women is amazing.

It really is. I have a friend that is a distant cousin (5th cousin) to HM on the Clayton side and her mother is now 88 and other than maladies that can strike any of us in the winter, she's strong, feisty, living alone and still driving at 88 years old.

We definitely know where HM gets her strength and stamina from.

Her Majesty looks lovely in that blue dress she first wore to Northern Ireland.
Love the white details around the waist.
Moderators- you can move this post to the fashion thread if it is more appropriate.

Thought HM looked a bit bemused by the modern dance. At least now she knows what Cressida's about!

Lovely! Her Majesty is amazing. Does anyone know who the gentleman in military full dress was and why he was at a school for the Dance?

With her love of horses and appreciation for tradition, the Queen is an unlikely fan of contemporary dance.
But that didn't stop her from making a visit to the Rambert Contemporary Dance Company's new South Bank home, although she did seem a little bemused during one of the performances.
Accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Queen was wreathed in smiles as she made her way into the state-of-the-art premises ahead of the performance and given a tour of the new building by excited staff.
