Yes, more or less. On this occasion, the visitor "kisses hands".

Well, at least now the Queen will feel more in her element, as she swops the grumpy Scot from Kirkcaldy for an Old Etonian....

Oh dear. Did the photographer have to choose this particular photo of the Duke? A pathetic photo of a strong man who happens to be elderly. JMHO.

Wonderful pictures, Ice! I just love how HM matches her scarves with the outfit she's wearing. NO one can wear them and look as good as the Queen! I wonder just how many she owns...

Same thought that I always have when seeing her like this, udyusa :).
She always looks sweet and feminine with her scarves, but I haven't
seen anyone else who succeeds in that as well :D.

Prince Philip attended again more privately, but was pictured nevertheless.
He watched the Coaching Marathon. The gallery also includes some more
pics of the Queen and Princess Haya of Jordan who attended the show as
well today.

New day, new scarve :)

The Queen pictured today at the 4th day of the Royal Windsor Horse show.
Watching the carriage driving competition with lots of fun (Pic 1 and 2) and
watching the Shetland Pony competition a bit more critical ;)

Prince Andrew has been with her, at least for some time and Prince Philip
was one of fence judges during the carriage driving competition (Pic 5).

In the first picture she looks ever so beautiful and youthful.
Does anyone know who the two people are sat with the Duke? Neices/Nephews or just friends? :)

The two others sitting at the table with DOE are the other fence judges. This photo was taken during the carriage driving competition.

Advantage Andy Murray as the Queen visits Wimbledon - Telegraph

It could inspire Andy Murray to go one step further than last year and reach the Wimbledon final. Mandrake can disclose that the Queen plans to attend the tournament for the first time in more than 30 years.

She was last at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in 1977, when she presented Virginia Wade with the ladies' trophy – the last time that a British player triumphed in a singles championship there.

Last year they predicted that she would attend if Murray made the final and I wonder if that prediction only added pressure that affected him negatively.

Regarding the headscarves, the Queen is at heart a countrywoman - always has been, always will be.

It surely must be much more comfortable to wear a headscarf than a crown - though I rather think the headscarves come from Harrods.

I personally have never seen a picture of The Queen with any scarf that wasn't Hermes.
Also, although Harrods was reportedly sold in a 3am secret deal a few days ago... considering the relationship with the owner of that store... doubt we are contributing any money to the till of Harrods from the Royal purse. :whistling:

I do believe that Hermes is the one and only brand that she wears, Period!
I read that about Harrods being sold and I have to agree that HM must go directly to Hermes to get her scarves... I would think with all that she owns that they must just gift her with them after all this time! :)

I'm not sure yet whether the Queen attended today or not
(maybe the galleries will be updated again) but Prince Philip
was pictured and obviously enjoyed it this time ;)

Prince Michael of Kent also took part.

Ahhh, doesn't Prince Philip look dapper today!! And soo happy to be doing what he loves most. Nice to see such big smiles...

:previous: Yes, indeed! Thoroughly enjoying himself, as it should be. At his age, he and his queen make every moment count.
It is a pleasure to see.

The Queen today received His Excellency the Ambassador of Belgium
Mr Johan Verbeke and His Excellency the Ambassador of Greece Mr
Aristidis Sandis at a private audience during which they presented
their Credentials at Buckingham Palace in London, May 18, 2010.

They both look so happy! I can't say that I am a fan of HM patterned dress but she still glows.
Does anyone recognize her brooch? It is lovely..

I could see where it could be construed as too busy, though I agree, she does glow.

We have seen this badge before when The Queen has visited Yorkshire.

Are you certain it is a 'badge', Joye? It looks to me to be a brooch... but then I perhaps am wrong. I am still interested in what it is. Thank you.
