That isn´t the Queen. That´s is a look a like. Very bad.

It's not the Queen, it's a double. How strange that the site
is working in such a dilettantish way..

The Queen seems to be enjoying her meeting with the fashionistas!

The Court Circular says the Countess of Wesseex, the Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Michael also attended that fashion event at the palace. Any pics of them?

I think the man looks more scary! The Queen even looks a bit apprehensive...

I read that, Gill, but I still think he looks scary... lol I wouldn't be happy to pose for him.

I hope he looks more personable when he is taking photo's!:photo: LOL!
HM looked like she rather enjoyed herself at this event. I wonder if she had the same thoughts I do about these fashion icons though... Why is it the people who get to dictate what is "fashionable" can't ever seem to dress themselves??!:whistling:

BBC News - New standard is presented to 201 Squadron

201 (Guernsey's Own) Squadron has been presented with its new squadron standard by the Duke of Edinburgh.

Prince Philip, the Honorary Air Commodore to RAF Kinloss, presented the squadron third standard on his annual visit to the base on Wednesday.

The Duke of Edinburgh, the station’s honorary air commodore, flew in by royal jet to present 201 Squadron with an updated standard to replace the one he presented in 1984.

HM seems to have quite a lot of variety in the course of day - from receiving ambassadors, to providing awards, to visiting charitable interests to internal meetings - all in the course of an average day for this nearly 85 year old lady!

The pics at the reception for the Civil Service Commissioners
also turned out so nice as to the golden light as a result of
the room, the incidence of light and the Queen's dress of
course. I liked them as well! :)

Yesterday - March 25 - the Queen received the President of
the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Danilo Türk who presented his
credentials - the second pic is very lovely again!

Picture 2 is a wonderful one of the Queen.
She looks ever so happy. :)

Thankyou iceflower for these lovely photos.
Now Mr Photographer, that is the way to take photos, particularly for us who like to see which brooch The Queen is wearing. Keep up the good work.

I so agree with you, joye! I think we all love to see which brooch HM is wearing and most especially when it it this magnificent one... But more importantly, when it is one that we are not as familiar with. It helps tremendously for our brooch expert, GillW... :)

The wonderful spring yellow seems to be her favourite at the moment:

Queen Elizabeth - in yellow ;) - receiving His Excellency the Ambassador
of Libya Mr Omar R Jelban (1) and His Excellency the High Commissioner
of the Seychelles Mr Patrick Pillay (2) during a visit to Buckingham Palace,
London. March 30, 2010.

Now, Russo, being a Yank and not understanding protocol is wondering, the Duchess was able to kiss HM in public?

The Duchess of Devonshire is a very close and much loved friend of HM, and is one of only very few non-relatives who would do such a thing.
