Hopefully, the Duke will be just fine and the "minor injury" will be just that.. "minor." Also, the groom will be fine, as well.

Prince Philip injured after his carriage ponies bolt | Mail Online

I hope his recovery isn't too painful. I can't believe he still carries on with this sport at his age. It is truely impressive,

Hope the Duke is better soon. His desire to continue with his duty and his life, come what may, is always very inspiring!

I think it's impressive the way both the Queen and the Duke keep up the pace they do. I wish the Duke a speedy recovery.

Queen Elizabeth II smiles as she visits Caernarfon Castle on April 27,
2010 in Caernarfon, Wales. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are
on a two day visit to North Wales.

Wonderful strong colour!

QEII and DoE are both very popular, attracting crowds no matter what occasion. The Monarchy is secure as long as she is on the Throne. No republican could seriously attemp to dislodge her.

Good to see Prince Phillip seems to be having no residual problems from the carriage mishap the other day!
They are both amazing role models for all of us.
God Save The Queen! Long may She continue to Reign!

Day 2 in North Wales

HM Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in
Welshpool town centre on April 28, 2010 in Welshpool, Wales.

Looking at the little boy's face expression on pic 2 one may
think that he's been disappointed that the Queen paid more
attention to the Corgi And it would be interesting to
know the Queen's thoughts when she was presented with
her portrait in pic 5 .

Ice, couldn't you see the resemblance to HM in that portrait?? I could.

Russo wonders if HM knew the bloodlines of the corgi she met.

How sweet. The portrait of her majesty is wonderful. I love that people still draw ones like that.
I feel sorry for the little boy though.

Richard Palmer | Royal blog: My away days with the Queen

I’ve just got back from following the Queen and Prince Philip on two of what their aides like to call royal away days.

Their trips to Caernarfon, Dinas, Bangor, and Llandudno on Tuesday and Welshpool on Wednesday got little or no coverage in most of the national media but were huge stories for local television, radio and newspapers.

How sad. The people certainly seemed to come out in the hundreds and were thrilled to see HM and the Duke. Wonderful to see, imho. Thank you, wbenson, for your pics... and your comments.

He is 88, and I can imagine the Queen being worried about him after his recent accident.

Stubborn, isn't he? Well, that's a tall order, when somebody wants you to give up something you are so very keen and passionate about, no matter the health implications.
