Queen will make visit to ground zero

US tour follows birthday year

AS the Queen marked the official occasion of her 80th birthday with a day of pageantry, it emerged yesterday that a far more sombre engagement is also being planned for her — a visit to ground zero in New York.

That's great news, I think a royal tour of the US would be a great idea!

It's remarkable how the Queen still has her health and is so "young" and vibrant. Making a trip over the big pond, and having the kind of heavy schedule that such a tour entails, and at her age, that could certainly not be done by everyone in her age.

I was not sure where to post it or to post at all, but I find this article very funny. I must admit I didn't know about the position of the goats in the army.

British army lance corporal demoted for acting the goat

William (Billy) Windsor, regimental goat of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, has been demoted for refusing to keep in step at a parade for Queen Elizabeth II's 80th birthday, officers said.

I usually don't read the papers on the day they unveil the accounts because I just get angry but reading them today, really has annoyed me. Can you believe that Peter Tatchell has formed a Republican organisation? It seems to me that now he's got his same-sex marriage laws through, his work in the LGBT community is over and done with and he's now going to eek out a living fighting to get the Monarchy abolished. And Claire Rayner is in the group! I mean what has the world come to?

The current figure stands at 62p per person, per year and it's up 4.2%. Well, if the Government had ensured that security was tip top when they first came to power, then they wouldn't be spending thousands and thousands correcting it now would they? Every year these figures come out, we get these complete idiots spouting republican clap-trap. What they don't realise is that the Blairs are sitting pretty on about 1.20p a year etc etc. Don't people appreciate value for money?

Ok. I've said it now. Now I can forget about it for another year.
