My word, she's going to college already? But isn't college for 18-year olds? I'll never understand the British school system.....AAAAAh..haha, rocked by sex scandals, Beatrice wasn't allowed to go to that Swiss finishing school because of sex scandals, but Eugenie's been given the go-ahead for Malborough College? Sounds like a cigarette company. :woot:

it's just a high school although she must be very smart cause it is VERY hard to get in that school
yeh i'm a bit surprised she will still go too , but hey she has protection there so i guess she's safe.
sad though to need bodyguards at school

and yes i thought about a cigarette company too when i first heard the name :p

Yea, well her royal title didn't hurt. I suppose she's smart, but one minor factor was her royal-ness. That'd give Marlborough Cigarette Company/College more publicity.

did you know?.......

Princess Eugenie will go to the same school as Harry Potter star Emma Watson.

Emma Watson doesn't know how to act. It seems like she might have some talent that she hasn't yet tapped into. Maybe Eugenie can give her some tips. It'd be fun to see them as friends. Only Emma would probably bask in all that publicity....I hate Emma Watson.

wat's rong with Emma Watson? she's a talented actress, and b/c she spent 12 years out of spotlight, she's a normal, everyday person. there's nothing rong with her acting

EUGENIE LEAVES SMOKERS WITH NOWHERE TO HIDE

17 SEPTEMBER 2003

Princess Eugenie has unwittingly sparked a crackdown on smoking at her new school. The Duke and Duchess of York's younger daughter has just started at Marlborough College in Wiltshire, but it seems her presence is bad news for the institution's secret nicotine fiends.

Because when royal protection officers inspected Millmead House, where Eugenie will be staying, they found packets of cigarettes hidden all around the building. According to one source, so many packs were discovered that authorities at the school were forced to declare an amnesty.

"The house was searched before Princess Eugenie arrived and it is true that cigarettes were discovered and removed," said school master Edward Gould. "No pupil has been disciplined over the matter, as the search happened before term."

He insisted that this doesn't mean puffing will be tolerated at the college, however. "There is a clear no smoking policy, it is not allowed," he declared. Gould was appointed master of Marlborough in 1993, after a number of students were expelled for drug offences. The £21,000-a-year college, which educates 13-18 year olds, currently has 850 students.

I talked 2 the administrator of Marlborough a coupla days ago. I'm applying to study abroad there as a junior and a senior

I heard Marlborough was full for the next 8 years.......anyway : good luck ! would be cool if you get in.

Proud Duke says Eugenie coped 'magnificently' after surgery

The Duke of York has expressed pride at how his teenage daughter
coped "magnificently" after undergoing spinal surgery last year.

Prince Andrew visited the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS
Trust at Stanmore, north west London, where Princess Eugenie had the
lengthy operation to correct a curvature of the spine in October 2002.

He thanked staff for caring for the 13-year-old as he launched a
multi-million-pound fund-raising drive for the specialist hospital.

Andrew revealed how Eugenie recently suffered a fall from a rope at
school just days after finally starting to do sport again.

On doctors' orders, she was forced to sit out from physical activity
for a year after her surgery. But Andrew insisted Eugenie was fine
after dropping just six inches, adding, "she bounced".

It was his first visit to the hospital since taking on its patronage
which was previously held by his grandmother, the late Queen Mother.

Of his youngest daughter, he said: "Throughout the year she's been
magnificent in how she has coped with this. It's when you actually
have a personal interest that you really, really begin to understand
what the hospital actually does for you."

He joked about how he became increasingly nervous as he telephoned ex-
wife Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, who told him the one-and-a-half-
hour operation had actually taken seven hours.

But the Prince praised consultant orthopaedic surgeon Tim Morley for
his "tremendous" work.

The hospital, which was founded more than a 100 years ago, is hoping
to raise £10 million for a £125 million new development of the site.

Beatrice and Eugenie ... all smiles for the camera
Picture:Linus Moran

HERE are Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie on their mum’s latest Christmas card — looking smiles more grown up.

Bea, 15 (left), and her 13-year-old sister beam out from the holiday snap taken by keen photographer Fergie, 44, this summer on Spain’s Costa del Sol.

Bea was more than happy to show off her smile after having her brace removed.

The confident teenagers are a far cry from the little girls snapped exactly four years ago on a cinema outing with Fergie and dad Prince Andrew.

Or should we say a far laugh?

Eugenie looks so great here. From what I can see of her jacket, it looks gorgeous, and ther beret is a great little detail in her whole outfit.

yeh she looks good on that pic !

I love the coat to! and the hat..........she seems to know what suits her well...

she's looks so grown up to......if you put the pics of 2 years ago next to the new ones................

She does indeed look very grown up.

Between the two sisters, Beatrice looks like she will be the trendier dresser, while Eugenie will stick to classically tailored clothes.

I think Eugenie is much more prettier than Beatrice. I also like her way of dressing more than the way Beatrice dresses. Doesn't Eugenie looks more like her fathern, and Beatrice like her mother?

I think Beatrice resembles both of her parents physically: she has Sarah's hair colour and skin colouring but Andrew's doe-eyes and smile (and teeth!).

Eugenie on the other hand resembles the late Queen Mum more, I think.

Here is a picture of the Queen Mum in 1910(?), bearing a slight resemblance to Eugenie:
