Eugenie looked very chic and classy, just like how a Princess should! Beatrice didn't look half bad either, compared to how she has looked in the past. I am no fan of the dress - I think it belongs with the butterfly hat she wore to the Phillips wedding earlier this year!!!!

The following two pics are also nice to see:

Thanks Ice and giov for the pics/links. Pss B & E look nothing at all alike. If you didn't know you'd never guess they were sisters. Not an ounce of resemblence. Who's that woman in the back of the car, a bg? I didn't think they actually rode in the same vehicle as their charges; that they rode in sep vehicles alongside or beside them.

I see the same body language in the two. Eugenie looks more prettily delicate but the last few pictures of Beatrice are quite attractive.

Beatrice looks sweetly pretty in Pic 1.:flowers:

I just noticed that most of Beatrice's photos were taken on her left side. Her profile from the right looks quite different.

I would be very surprised if minor royals like B & E had many "charges" that accompanied them on nights out. I suspect that was probably a security officer assigned to both of them. I had read somewhere that Andrew had fought hard to keep security cover for the girls when it had come up for review sometime back.

Interesting to see young Beatrice piloting a BMW. Contrast that to a young Diana seen at the wheel of a humble VW Polo or a Ford Escort. Even William drove a VW Golf until quite recently. All very much in line with my thinking that the York girls appear to be are growing up quite spoilt - always seen in expensive fashion, going to expensive restaurants and night clubs, often on holiday. That said, it is still early days and I reserve judgement on these girls. Lets see how they do academically from here on, and what careers they build for themselves. I would hope seeing Sarah carve out an independent career for herself would be an inspiration for these girls and they would follow in her footsteps, rather than becoming C list celebs. Would love to hear what oter members of the forums have tosay about their upbringing and potential outlook.

Beatrice and Eugenie have a non-royal mother that makes a good living and can spend on her daughters as she pleases without answering to the taxpayers of the UK. This doesn't necessarily make them spoiled, just privileged. I also seem to recall that the BMW was chosen as a vehicle with a bit of humor to it as Beatrice's initials are BMW.

C-list celebs? Royal Princesses?:ohmy::lol:

Quite possible! If they don't build independent careers for themselves, and appear in the press attending parties, falling out of night clubs, on holiday and hanging out with other celebs, thats how they will start to be viewed. I am not suggesting that these girls don't have it within themselves to make it (and they certainly have a role model in their mother to follow), but if they choose not to, they could end up being minor celebs. Their perceived closeness with the royal family will only weaken with time, certainly once Charles in King, Will and Harry marry and have their own families. It is really for this reason there has been speculation in the past as to whether the girls might vountarily give up their titles - soemthing that Andrew has vehemently fought against.

It must be exciting for Beatrice to be beginning her B.A. program. I hope she does well, because as has mentioned in this thread numerous times, she needs to find success in something or else she runs the risk of turning into a low-level celebrity. I do think she is a bit spoiled--but she seems like a good sport about all the photographers always in her business.

Thanks, Ice! Even tho she's known it all of her life, it must be somewhat annoying for her to have the papps around at every turn. Either that or she enjoys the attention.

Thanks giov. I actually like the outfit she's wearing in these pics.

You are welcome Bella!
I agree, Beatrice looks nice. I like this style.

She has been looking very nice lately--she is such a pretty girl; it's nice to see her looking pulled together

I wish they give it a rest. Beatrice is almost like every student I knew (myself included) when I attended university. Its so easy to bounce back, party all night and attend class the next day.

On the other hand, it has to be obvious that the press is starting to "hunt" Beatrice and her sister. She either needs to be a little more discrete or start going to other clubs. This is just raising her profile among those who think they are paying for her partying, and she is just another rich layabout.

Good points, Zonk. I well remember when I was Bea's age in college--I was out until 3/4am and able to hit my morning classes easily. Oh, the exuberance of youth! Now, I'm in school working on a M.S. and if I'm up past 1:00 I am worthless the next day.
But, as you pointed out, Bea's situation is different. She is perpetrating the image that she is a party girl who needs security to have a good time. Whether it is true or not is the not the issue--that is the appearence she gives. I readily agree that the paps do seem to hunt her but she seems to take it all in stride, and handles it much better and with more confidence than her Diana was able to. Sarah and Andrew really must be given kudos for reasing confident young women.

Frankly, Beatrice could have gone elsewhere for her studies ... similar to William. There she probably would have been more out of the spotlight. Of course it would have meant getting temporarily separated of her ever-smiling boy-friend & family.

Thanks for all the info., Ice! The black dress she is wearing is nice but almost looks a bit fancy for going out to a club. Even when I was much younger I needed more sleep than it seems the York girls are getting. I know it's typical of people their age but I'm tired just thinking about it.

Comparing the papps response to the York girls and Pss Diana is apples and oranges. They don't get anywhere near the intrusion that Pss Diana had to put up with and the Yorks were born into this circus scene - it's 2nd nature to them - Pss Diana only had the "pleasure" after becoming engaged to P Charles.

It is a fair point that the press seem to be hunting her at the moment, and waiting for her to slip up. Its quite unfortunate to have the spotlight on you when you are just starting out in life (especially in you rearly years at college). To some extent, it is a testament to her upbringing that she appears to be quite "stable" and still able to cope with this press battering.

It is very early days, but it would be interesting to see how Bea mixes with other fellow students at Goldsmiths, and if she is seen out and about with them, as she is seen with her posh set. Goldsmiths College is not in the nicest part of town (read as: its a dump!) so it will be interesting if young Bea is seen at the local there!

Does anybody know if Beatrice or Eugienie have been on the tube?

IIRC correctly one of them was pictured riding the tube together with bodyguards. I think it was Eugenie.

As for Beatrice doing something in the vincinity of her college, metting local students there etc. - I doubt it. Judging by how she spent her gap year with partying and holidaying with her mother's set or her boyfriend I doubt she is in the least interested in learning more about people not as privileged as herself. I am very disappointed in her, I had hoped that she at least does a bit of what I'd wish for my daughter if I had one and she wanted a gap year. Travelling to places of cultural interest like Athens, Rome, Florence, Paris. Or exploring museums world-wide. I'd have thought that a student interested in design or history of arts would use her possibilities this way, even if her grandmother owns a large collection herself. But she is never seen in a London museum either.

Instead she works as a shopping assistant to rich customers and as mini-mama az mamma's charity events. Sorry, not good, IMHO.

Beatrice strikes me as a young woman who likes the city and its attractions.:flowers:

Eugenie did a fabulous job on her A-levels... but they were not Oxford material. Oxford acceptance is more along the line of four A*s.

^^both Charles and Edward went to Cambridge and their A-levels were certainly nothing to brag about (even at that time)
