Fergie, you've been forgiven
Her party promises to be the most spectacular Royal bash since Prince William's 21st birthday celebrations three years ago. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...=1773&ito=1490

I'm really surprised she doesn't have a boyfriend. I know she was supposedly dating that US guy who had the problem w having killed someone, but was that really a true boyfriend (I find it hard to believe as he's like 25). I just think she's incredibly pretty and seems to have a good head/sense about her. You'd think they'd be someone appropriate for her to become romantically involved with.

Thanks for the article. The Queen has gone all out for Beatrice's 18th birthday celebrations. Sounds like it is going to be a blast. I hope there will be loads of pictures. Beatrice will find a proper boyfriend no doubt in the future.

Thanks for the new pics, Iceflower. I hadn't seen these anywhere. Sorry, but Sarah looks terrible in that last picture.

I like Sarah and all and think she is great looking, but yeah she look like she was transforming into a creature or something. So yeah that last pic of hers is scary. :o

Sarah, Beatrice, and Eugenie are on the cover of Ladies' Home Journal this month. It seems to me that it's the typical article where very little on the girls is given and the magazine tries to bill it as, as LHJ says this time, their 'first, "Here we are world" thing when its not.
But, it is there with some new information. Some quotes: http://lhj.com/lhj/story.jhtml;jsess...9781431161.xml

I wonder if the article has some tie-ins with Weight Watcher. I just find that throw-in comment on her being spokes person for 10 years interesting, albeit a tad too specific.

Fergie takes Beatrice for nerve-racking driving lesson
Teaching a child to drive is, to put it mildly, something of a nerve-wracking experience. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1770

There's only two more- I believe scanning them and posting them, though, would be a violation of copyright laws. :(

The telegraph had an article about Sarah and her daughters yesterday, which I found thought-provoking:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main...princess22.xml I wholeheartedly agree with these comments, it's ridiculous how Sarah dresses and behaves with her daughters. In my experience, mothers often want to be their daughter's best friends but only once I encountered a daughter who was proud to call her mother a friend. IMHO girls need a mother who helps them grow up by setting the rules and giving guidance but allows for their own development into a woman. I understand that it's probably hard for Sarah to know that her daughters can decide whenever they want to embark on a Royal lifestyle and on to a circle of friends where their mother can't follow. But this kind of mothering is not going to prevent it. When I read about the DVD-watching weekends I had the impression that Sarah tries to chain the girls to her company instead of showing them the world. Sarah said in an interview that the time is coming when the girls will be introduced to society. Which gives me the idea of former times when the girls were closely supervised by their mother or another chaperone while on outings in society. Reminds me a bit of the duchess of Kent and her daughter Victoria of long past - the moment Victoria came of age (in this case: became queen) she moved out and omitted contact to her mother as much as she could... Not a happy comparison. BTW: How did the queen manage that with princess Anne? Overall speaking, the girls always appear to be sulking in public, they appear as if they are pupils of a very exclusive and old-fashioned school allowed on an outing together with their governess Sarah. OTOH one learns about quite unsuitable friends who are encouraged by Sarah in private. Hm, I'm not convinced Sarah does it right - especially not on ridiculing her daughters with clothes much to old and frumpy. |

Unfortunately for the Telegraph, Sarah has said that her daughters choose their own clothes. She stopped dressing them once they stopped dressing in identical clothes. Beatrice and Eugenie's fashion disasters aren't because Sarah can't dress herself, but because they think those outfits look attractive and flattering. She may need to get them a stylist, but she doesn't force them into those clothes.
Anne has always been a Daddy's Girl, so, as much as she admires her mother, I don't know that EIIR ever had to deal with that same issue.

You could put the name of the mag as a watermark on the pics for example.

The girls are still teenagers, they are too young to "step from their mother's shadow". Perhaps in another two years for Beatrice. In the mean time, I think it's sensible of Sarah to go to events with her daughters, not only she doesn't have to deal with the question of who would be her escort and spawn another batch of rumors, she can supervise the girls. If she and Andrew had let them go to film premieres or celebrity parties on their own, there would be headlines screaming what a bad mother Sarah is.
BTW, how come Andrew never gets blamed for "letting" the girls dress what they like, or let Sarah taken them to these parties? He is after all their father, and in all reports, on great terms with Sarah so he wouldn't have a problem talking to any of them. |

I do agree that the girls have ghastly fashion choices. Hopefully, they will get a stylist or their cousins will say something?! Zara...Gabriella...we need you! Heck...even Davina and Rose dress better than them. But they still are fairly young...there is college in the future (and hopefully they will meet some nice Sloane Rangers or something). |
