Yes Michaella. it appears that William and Kate spent some time at Birkhall. We assume that Charles and Camilla were there at the same time.

I wonder if they all slept in the little wooden shack?
It seems more like William asked his father whether he could use the little fishing place than Kate was invited to share the splendour of Birkhall, I apologise in advance if I am wrong about this....

The Sun link on the previous page says they returned to Birkhall after dinner in the cabin.
The Mail link above says they are staying at Birkhall.

The lodge looks cozy, but it looks big enough for at least two bedrooms and a living/dining room area. It's romantic that William wanted to have a special dinner for just the two of them, I'm proud of him!

Not long ago there was an article showing this little hut, and that is all it is, when the Queen was in Scotland. It is just a kitchen and a table for eating with a big pen for the dogs. I didn´t see any bedroom, it was used for picnics when the family were out fishing..... no comfort in sight. There may be more than one hut and I suppose there are , but from the outside that was the one featured.

The cabin is suppose to have three bedrooms. I think it was remodeled after the Queen Mum died. I just love the look at it from the outside. It looks like a little love nest for lovers who want to be alone. I think they are following the Queen's advice to be low key in this economy.

Plus I think Kate's dream was to live in a converted farm house and have many children.

William and Kate were spotted at Heathrow Airport. And he has shaven the beard.

The Mail's got the story, too: Did the beard not tickle your fancy then, Kate?

Looks like the speculation about a big Scottish birthday bash for Kate wasn't quite on. Maybe a Highgrove party or one at her family's home instead?

I like William without the beard and the glasses make him look extra cute. I think this was a private getaway for the two to make up for possible minimum time they will spend together in the months to come.

I LOVE him with glasses! So this lodge where they stay, is not the same as that "tam na ghar" or something?

According to the Balmoral homepage, there are several lodges and cottages on the estate which is pretty large. IIRC it's a 10 minutes drive from Balmoral Castle to Birkhall, about 7 miles in distance. It makes sense that William stays with his parents when they are all in Scotland, as he stays with them when he is in London as well. We've seen pics of Catherine leaving Clarence House, so I don't understand why it is such a big deal that she stayed with William in Scotland in his parent's house? I'm afraid I have yet to see clear evidence that something's going on, even though I love to speculate.

Tam na Ghar is a 3 bedroom former Gamekeepers cottage and was given to William by the QM.

Well that is different, a lovely little place and a nice place to get a way from prying eyes.

By the Way Sky what does Tam na Ghar mean?

I can't think of an exact translation and I am not a fluent Gaelic speaker. The nearest we can come up with is Tamh is a dwelling and Ghar is a garden, so A garden Dwelling. Another 'translation' could apparently be Tam - Steward.
Now if you had asked me what Camus na Crois meant!
