Agree. I think she's fantastic. She'll make a lovely addition to William's family.

From the article:

"Lady Rose, who became plain Mrs Gilman yesterday, is the great-granddaughter of George V and is 23rd in line to the throne."

I thought that Duke's daughters keep their style of "Lady" after marriage to a commoner? So she is now Lady Rose Gilman, isn't she?

They do indeed, so she is Lady Rose Gilman.

Thanks for the pictures and article, Isana
The Duke of Gloucester's children are really good-looking and Lady Rose looked so elegant. Beautiful bride.
Also Gabrella's jacket gives a classy, yet young look to her outfit. Grey can really be lifted using different textures, and the pink hat added the finishing touches.
I have yet to see someone look good in those strange feathery things that sit on the side of one's head, awful!
Kate has got to get rid of that white jacket, or at least wear it with an appropriate outfit. She looks much better with colour.

Oops :groan:, just found out it was a pale blue jacket [have had a word with my computer to get its act together], but still feel the same way about the jacket.

I agree with people at thefashoinspot, once she's engaged and on her way to being Princess someone in the fashion world will take her under their wing and give Kate a makeover. She always looks appropriate and poised but also predictable and dull, she doesn't wear things to flatter herself...great hair though.

It looks like she is wearing the same hat she has used in the last royal wedding she attended! The outfit is different but the hat look the same!

I don't think so. At Peter's wedding she wore a different hat that had a some net in front of her face. This looks a little like what Chelsy wore to Peter's wedding though.

The fascinator and jacket/skirt combo actually looks more like what she wore to the 2005 Van Cutsem/Astor wedding a few years ago than what she wore to the Phillips/Kelly wedding. Here's a link to the thread from that wedding with pictures.

I think she looked great at the wedding yesterday! She's always elegant, stylish, and sophisticated. Not that I've ever seen her looking bad. She looks just as good in a cable knit sweater and jeans.

^It was ok, but not one of her better looks, imo. Though one thing (her legs) were looking great!! She just has great legs, period. Her legs are probably her best body feature, with her hair being second, or vice versa, I can't decide. But the jacket looked so tight.

I actually thought the jacket wasn't fitted enough But I will agree with you about her legs, guess that bike riding pays off. I do wish that she had worn her hair up for once though.

Maybe I'm extrapolating too much here, but if William and Kate were not serious and I mean *serious*, would she attend two royal weddings on his behalf? Granted they weren't the weddings of senior royals, but they are still members of the family. If I were not extremely extremely serious with someone, I wouldn't let them attend a family wedding in my stead, as that would be rather odd, I would think.

I'm not saying an engagement is forthcoming, just that perhaps these two are much more serious than we originally thought. If they weren't, why would she go? It's not like she's close personal friends with any of them and would have attended anyway.

goodness it really annoys me when articles in the papers can not get the facts right - "plain mrs gilman" i dont think so Lady Rose Gilman now

We dont know for certain that either William or Harry would have attended Rose's wedding if they has been in the UK neither attended the weddings of the Earl of Ulster or Lady Davina. Maybe through William Kate has got friendly with Rose and George as they are quite similiar in age (Rose is 28 and both George and Kate are 26)

I tend to agree with Sister Morphine, however,PrincessofEurope you are right Lady Rose's, Mr. Gilman's, and Kate's close to same and Kate may have became friends because she was William g/f.

Do we have any idea of who the 2 girls were she arrived with?

Are the Duke and Duchess friendly with Charles and Camilla - the children might have socialised at Highgrove away from the public eye over the years.

I believe the woman in red and black is Emilia d'Erlanger -- I posted comparison photos at my blog, and I'm pretty sure it's her. I don't know who the other woman is.

She genuinely wanted a job but she needed an element of flexibility to continue the relationship with a very high-profile man and a life that she can't dictate. She's going to be dictated to when she's needed and not needed." Together Belle and Kate worked out a job in accessories that she could do three days a week.
That doesn't sound too nice towards Kate, does it? She makes Kate sound like a booty call for William who has to be available at all times. Why should Kate have had a problem working more than 3 days a week because of her relationship? Wasn't William busy with Sandhurst and the military at the time? He would hardly have had time for her during the week - so why would she not have been able to work 5 days?
