The daily mail is really getting desperate, the ring looks fake.

I like KMs make up and hair it is very pretty. And her watch is elegant. But I have to say I am not a fan of the necklace or the plastic black bracelet it looks childish.
The dress i nice, but I think the length of the dress with the black pumps makes her look older.

Also, she really seems much happier nowadays so maybe they have worked things out.

This article in the Evening Standard has a lot of great information. According to the featured photographer Alistair Morrison, Catherine first showed interest in photography when she was still attending university at St. Andrews.

"Speaking at the launch, the 51-year-old photographer said: "She is very, very good, and it shows. She takes very beautiful detailed photographs. She has a huge talent and a great eye. I'm sure she will go far."
Morrison has known Miss Middleton since she was a history of art student in St Andrews, where she met Prince William.

He added: "She approached me when she was at university to come and do a little bit of work with her and we've kept in touch. She came to my gallery (in Windsor, Berkshire) and we talked through some of her work. She was looking to get a little help. She's very excited about the show. It's great that most of her family and friends came to support her."


I find it heartening that Catherine organized this event to honor Alistair Morrison's work, and also that half of the proceeds from the event and all of the proceeds from the book are going to UNICEF. Good for Catherine!

It's nice that Prince William attended the event to be supportive of her. The article in the Daily Mail says that he ate dinner with Catherine and her entire family. (both Catherine's brother James and her sister Pippa were there, and also her mother and father.)

It's also nice that Camilla's daughter Laura Lopes attended, as well as several of Prince William's close friends including: James Meade, Holly Branson, Guy Pelly, and Jamie Murray-Wells. This was a well-attended event! The photos of the attendees are available on the usual photo-websites such as Getty, etc.

It looks like the plans must have been in the works for this for some time, I doubt if Catherine just arranged this in the last two weeks. I'm glad she's really moving forward with her plans for photography.

Gosh why must the media always exaggerate like that? This has nothing to do with being taken seriously.

Terribly catty comments for that article --- it doesn't matter what the girl does, someone will always find something wrong.

I hope they publish a few of her photos online sometime, I would like to see how good they are.

She does look good, but I also dislike that necklace she is wearing. And, I don't believe Kate would go in public with a real engagement ring unless they had plans to announce it officially --- the fuss and photo rage is big enough with her wearing any ring of any sort.

However when it comes to the ring, I'm sorry but I just don't think its a diamond ring. It is just a bijou, an expencive bijou perhaps, but there is no way those stones are diamonds. I've got rings of the kind, they range from 50$ to 250$, and they do look like diamonds, especially if worn with the right outfit. But only look.

I agree with Avalon, the ring looks like a bijou to me also, or to put it less politely, a paste ring. I think she wore it to have a more formal look and dress up her outfit. I don't much care for the necklace and bracelet she's wearing either, they are definitely not my taste in jewelry.

I think the dress she's wearing is lovely, and I do like her pumps. I just wish she'd chosen different jewelry for the occasion. I think Catherine's mother looked very pretty! I do think she should have worn sleeves, but her dress was very nice.

I'm pretty sure Kate has worn that ring before, on the same finger. I think it was back in late July when she was photographed leaving one of the clubs, either Mahiki or Boujis. She had a black sparkling dress, a bit 70's style and Daily Mail also had a closeup of the ring that time.

The ring looks to me like the one from the Boujis club a few weeks back when they reportedly "chased them" but it's hard to tell.

I don't necessarily think William is doing the same thing as Charles did but I certainly wouldn't consider two people testing the waters with each other after a breakup to be confirmed a couple yet.

i don't disagree that they may be testing the water but if they are then they obviously wouldn't be dating anyone else. and even though charles tried to confuse the press we always knew the difference between his "friends" and his "girlfriends". even though the tabloids are extremely annoying in the way they make up many of their stories, they usually hold some nugget of truth (remember whent he rumours started about marriage troubles with his parents. no one believed them but boy were we wrong) so the stories of them being a couple are probably spot on...but only that part. i don't think there's any big announcement coming out soon. but as far as being a couple....absolutely.

I agree with Duchess. I think William and Kate are a couple. They have an agreement and an engagement will be in a few years. Prince William has a lot of military work and to get use to royal duties before settlingly down.
