You didn't see the post before Alexandria edited it, or a couple of posts that Ennyllorac removed altogether. This thread was getting rather badly out of hand while people drove a horse and cart through the forum rules in order to dump on Camilla. Any time you have interventions by three administrators in less than an hour, you can be pretty sure the thread has had problems.

If you have problems with the way the administrators and moderators are handling the discussion, feel free to take it up with one of us by private message.

Sheathe the claws?? She has a right to her opinion. Anyone who defends Diana is totally beaten down! If you think this is going to die down, it just isn't. It is just reality, just like we have to look and deal with Camilla. It goes both ways.

tiaraprin,
You can always remain in the past and enjoy the Diana subforum. You are not forced to read the threads concerning Camilla. Let those of us who are prepared to give her a chance contribute positively to these threads while you enjoy remembering Diana. :)

Unfortunately, I can't do that. I have to keep up with all aspects, even those I absolutely despise. If you are going to study and follow the British Royal Family, this is the reality. One has to know what is going on with all aspects. It makes my heart sink, but I have to do it.

I like the hat she wore in Portland too. (I don't think the shoes went with the outfit, though.)

This marriage seems to agree with Charles, he's always beaming or laughing.

How about a compromise?
We all stick to the old adage "If you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all"

Gee, does that apply to the Diana haters too??

Well, in an ideal world it'd apply to everyone.

I certainly do not hate Diana and I agree that there is no need to put her down. She did a lot of good but was definitly no saint.

Perhaps the Moderators can make a rule whereby they remove any posts which gratuitously attack either Diana, Camilla or Charles (or any other royal for that matter)?

Charles doesn't look like he's enjoying the beer. :D

Not enjoying beer? Who does he think he is?

I will say, that's the most glum I've seen him look since he got married to CPB.

Maybe he hates beer? I know I do!

I was a big Diana-lover, but I do understand that life can't stand still. They both look really happy.

I have a question concerning Charles' title. Is he officially Crown Prince, or does this title is nonexistent in the UK. I read everywhere about the Crown princes of Norway, Netherlands, Spain, etc. but I don't remember ever hearing Charles called Crown Prince of the UK (nor Diana for that matter).
Can someone help me?

it's just that the crown prince of great britain receives the title of prince of wales (just as diana in her female version and now camilla, although she doesnt use the title because of own decision, as it was directly related to the late diana) and just as the crown prince of the netherlands is prince of orange and the crown prince of spain is prince of asturias.

In the same way that Prince Charles is Prince of Wales, Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands is Prince of Orange and Prince Felipe of Spain is Prince of Asturias. Some Dutch friends of ours said that in the Netherlands he's never referred to as Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, always as Prince of Orange.
