Just think how many kings of England might have been excluded from the succession if fidelity (or merely getting along with your royal spouse) was a requirement!

If Charles outlives the Queen, the top job will be his. And I think, ultimately, Camilla will be Queen Consort (just my guess).

I just saw a program where they talked about George IV house in Brighton. They were talking about how he was married twice. First he married his love secretly and then his "queen" after. When Napolean died someone came to him and told him "Sir, Your worst enemy has died" he replied "O really, when did she die?" I thought that was funny.

if charles will be o not will be king not is for diana's cause. if charles not married with camilla for the church not was for diana, was because camilla is divorce.

Here we go again.

Diana is dead. She'll never be Queen. People seem to think that because the Queen Mother lived to 100, so will the Queen. I can't see it myself. Charles will be King within the next 10 years by my reckoning and Camilla will be his Queen. There are no laws against divorcees being King or Queen Consort for that matter. If there was, nearly all of the Queen's children would be out of line for the throne.

charles will be king, some people want this and another people not, but for many reasons, not only for diana. diana is apart of all this.

I think what everyone who has answered you is saying, is that this thread is about Charles and Camilla, no one else.

I don't understand what you mean corazon. Do you mean that Charles as King wouldn't have pleased Diana?

I think what corazon is saying is that people may not want Charles as King for reasons besides his disasterous 1st marriage. I however, believe that is the main misguided reason.

Ah I see. I think it's accepted that Charles is very much good King material. He keeps in touch with all Cabinet Ministers, offers his support and advice, speaks on issues he feels strongly about without being too controversial, has a good manner with the public and generally is intelligent and caring.

exact. I try to explain that many people not want charles like king for charles's own reason, not for diana.

Let's get back on topic, please. And let's also tone down the rhetoric and perhaps cut a bit of slack for people trying to communicate in a language other than their native tongue.

If people really, really want to hash out the infernal triangle yet again, there are other places to do it. This isn't it.

Thank you.

So he'll be visiting a cafe? Pity he isn't taking Camilla along - she seems to like sampling the local foods when she's out and about.

At least it has changed since I was last there around 1986. I think even Camilla would have struggled with some of the specialities that used to be on offer. They did however serve a rather nice Bakewell Tart.

Skydragon,
Thanks for the link to Blarneys Today. I learned something new and that was the Prince's Trust loan. I applaud any efforts from the royal family to help man better themselves. In reading the article, I was really impressed that the trust offered a low interest rate. What was really impressive was the fact that Nicola was able to repay the loan and start a "chain".
Again, I'm more and more imprsessed by Prince Charles. Looking forward to Charles and Camilla on the throne of Great Britain.:)

Some more links concerning Charles.

From the crowds that apparently turned out, it seems he is more popular than some people think.:)
