Here's a new thread for news and pictures about Prince Harry. The old thread is here:

http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3897

For anything relating to the Nazi Armband incident, please post on the "Prince Harry's Nazi Costume" thread, which can be found here:

http://www.theroyalforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4580

Posts about Harry's Nazi costume on this thread will be moved to the other thread, since that topic is threatening to overwhelm the news about Harry at the moment.

Is P. Harry really going to join Sandhurst in May? The following article in News of the World seems to imply that he may further delay his entry to the academy:

EXCLUSIVE: Prince Harry reveals two new
injuries which could keep him out of the army

Harry's got 2
Nazi new injuries

By Clive Goodman

CROCKED Prince Harry is complaining of two new injuries which could keep him out of the army.

He will undergo a series of tests at a leading clinic tomorrow to try to get to the bottom of his latest medical problems.

The 20-year-old prince—who caused uproar by dressing as a Nazi soldier for a fancy dress party where a pal told a sick joke about the Queen—was due to start officer training at Sandhurst in May.

But he has complained of an "agonising" wrenched shoulder and an infection in one of his feet.

He is still being treated for a knee strain that delayed the original plan for him to join the Royal Military Academy this month after scraping through selection with the minimum two A levels — one at grade D. Harry's entire future in the forces could now be at stake.

"Sandhurst would accept one delay, but two and they'll start wondering how serious he is," said a friend.

Harry's foot is understood to have become infected after he gashed it badly during his Mozambique holiday with girlfriend Chelsy Davy.
Strange

"The strange thing about his injuries is they never seem to affect anything else he wants to do," said a pal.

"He can dance, ride, fish, ski and spend all day shooting. It's just Sandhurst he can't seem to manage." Harry is even expected to join his dad on a skiing holiday in April.

Last I heard (BBC news report, if memory serves), he was still going to Sandhurst in May. It's possible that's changed, but I think some of the senior royals will be applying pressure on him at this point.

The News of the World is a tabloid which isn't above making up stuff about the royals or printing out of date things as if they were new if those things will stir up a controversy and sell papers. Well, to be fair, most newspapers these days aren't above that sort of thing, but the tabloids tend to be worse than the broadsheets.

Well, officially he is. I guess we'll have to wait until May and see if he really is. And if, once he's there, he manages to stick with it.

I think the following picture sums up the current state of affairs:

P. Harry: Oops! I've really stepped in it this time!

I saw some picture of Chelsey, clearly out of her mind on alcohol, snogging some else at a party in South Africa during the week. I guess that's something else to add to Harry's misery.

Oh yes, I read an article about that. It was a friend of her brother. According to the article, she was getting back at Harry. Apparently, the same infamous night when Harry wore the Nazi costume, he was heavily flirting with some random girl.

Some people have too much spare time on their hands.

Although I think Harry should be beat with a wet noodle for wearing that costume. Him claiming two more injuries is just bad news for him. Going to Sandhurst would give him a chance to learn discipline and get out of the public eye. Hopefully these don't hinder him from getting into Sandhurst.

How's gap year work? Isn't it supposed to be a year? It's like kids in bad neighborhood who don't have jobs and studies, they make troubles. Party is his job and study right now. It does not take a genius to figure it out.

Oh dear. When it rains it pours. Harry's girl seems to be taking his absence really hard:

Harry's girl goes to pot
By BARBARA JONES in London

CHELSY Davy, Prince Harry's Zimbabwean girlfriend, has been seen smoking cannabis at the island resort where they enjoyed a holiday together.

Journalists from Britain's Mail on Sunday saw her in a huddle with three friends passing around a joint late one night as they sat on a beach on Bazaruto Island in Mozambique.

Soon afterwards, a girl from the group was giggling uncontrollably in a bar and could hardly speak.

One of two young men who shared the joint with her and Chelsy sat with his head lolling on his chest. Chelsy, 19, stumbled across the beach to her bungalow chalet and was not seen again that night. "They all looked totally stoned. It must have been some strong stuff," said one onlooker.

The Mail on Sunday journalists had walked close to the group as they were looking out to sea and identified the smell of marijuana.

The friends had arrived from Zimbabwe a few days after Harry left for a family Christmas at Sandringham.

Images of Chelsy using drugs will upset Prince Charles, already worried about his younger son's rebellious behaviour and reckless group of friends.

Three years ago, he took Harry to Featherstone Lodge, a residential centre for drug users in South London, after discovering the young prince smoked cannabis and had been drinking heavily.

He believed the 20-year-old had learned his lesson, but the excesses on Harry's extended holiday with Chelsy give him further cause for concern.

The young lovers were first seen together in November at a ranch in Argentina, where Harry was reportedly spending some quiet time before enrolling at Sandhurst Military Academy – a move said to have been delayed by a knee injury. He then joined Chelsy at her parents' luxury apartment in a South African coastal resort and was seen larking around the pool and simulating African dances on the balcony.

The pair later flew to Bazaruto, where Chelsy's businessman father Charles owns fishing and other rights.

Harry was introduced to Charles, Chelsy's mother Beverly and other members of the family.

Paul Davy, Chelsy's uncle, told The Mail on Sunday the relationship was "very serious" and may lead to marriage.

Chelsy is obsessed with her relationship with Harry, daily checking her emails and the internet for any mention of it in newspapers and magazines. –The Mail on Sunday

And who said that he´s going to get married to anyone??? I don´t thing there´s more help to Harry....

I wonder what he's up to nowadays. Since the costume incident it seems as if he's dropped off the planet. I'm sure he wanted to "drop off" after the deserved backlash he received.

Maybe the news blackout courtesy of Clarence House is working.

Now his little missy is making demands. For Harry to do what she is demanding is like him walking into hell with a gasoline jacket on:

It's the Army or me, Harry...

By BARBARA JONES, Mail on Sunday 09:44am 6th February 2005

Prince Harry's girlfriend has told him to forget about joining the Army so he can spend more time with her.

Chelsy Davy issued the ultimatum after he said he was unable to visit her in South Africa soon because of family pressure. She told him: "It's me or the British Army - you can't have both."

She brought their relationship to a head with a temper tantrum, phoning him in a fury and telling him: "If you really love me you'll refuse to join the Army.

"You don't have to do it - it's just family pressure. This is a time when we should be seeing more of each other, not less. If you go to Sandhurst we'll never see each other. You're letting the Royal Family run your life.

"Look what they're doing to you right now, forcing you to stay at home and be a dutiful son when you and I could be together."

She goaded him about a 'pointless' career as an Army officer, saying he would turn out just like Prince Andrew.

Blonde Chelsy, 19, who has a huge personal allowance from her wealthy family and the freedom to live life as she chooses at a house she shares with her brother Shaun and other students in Cape Town, admits to having no concept of the restrictions Harry lives under.

Despite spelling out to her many times that he has been groomed as a possible future King and has duties way beyond those of most young men, Chelsy apparently refuses to listen.

Chelsy unimpressed by costume fuss

She told friends last week that he was behaving like a 'wuss' by allowing himself to be grounded at Highgrove after the fuss over his wearing a Nazi officer's uniform at a fancy-dress party.

And it transpired that Harry, 20, called Chelsy from the costume rental shop when he was choosing an outfit - and she encouraged him to go for the swastika look.

"She can't see what all the fuss is about," a close friend told The Mail on Sunday. "She didn't find the Nazi uniform offensive. What really upset her was learning he'd spent the party with a pretty brunette on his lap."

In a fit of petulance last Saturday, Chelsy made a public display of revenge by sitting on a male friend's lap throughout the glamorous J&B Met horse race in Cape Town.

"Her manipulations are pushing her romance with Harry to the edge," said her friend. "She's livid that she has some spare time until her university term starts on February 21 and he is not due to go to Sandhurst until May, yet there are no plans to be together because Harry is virtually under house arrest at Highgrove."

Harry has apparently tried to calm Chelsy during long, emotional phone calls, promising he will find a way to see her soon.

He is even said to have promised to try to set up a 'charity trip' to Africa so that he could sneak off to be with her. But Chelsy told him he has until Valentine's Day to make a romantic tryst, or it's all off.

Rumours of arrogance

Frightened that she had pushed things too far, she was yesterday in tears at home. She and a girlfriend spent the morning shouting insults at each other, fuelling rumours that Chelsy has alienated many chums with her arrogance over Harry and her view of herself as a future Royal.

A friend who witnessed the row said the house was in uproar, with the girls crying and screaming.

"We all call her Princess Chelsy and she's been loving it," said the friend. "She even has an inner circle who have sworn some silly oath about loyalty. They call themselves the Princess Circle.

"But now we think Chelsy's losing it. She's realised that Harry has to put his family first and she can't take it. Like Princess Diana, she thought she could take priority and that's not possible.

"She calls Prince Charles 'Big Ears' and jokes that he doesn't need a plane to fly. And she said in front of Harry that it would be fun to have a dartboard with his father's picture on it. She shows him no respect.

"She used to boast that she taught Harry all he knew about satisfying a woman, and that wasn't respectful either."

Harry may have unwittingly played into Chelsy's hands by telling her too much about his family. He confided in her that life could be tortuous with the senior Royals.

Public appearance lecture

He described how he and Prince William were given a stern lecture the day before their mother's funeral. A Royal aide apparently told them: "You may feel like crying but you must not show it. If you feel tears are coming you must lower your head or move behind one of the other mourners."

Harry told Chelsy that he felt this was an early test of dealing with public appearances, and said it was heartbreaking.

According to Chelsy's friend, Harry also said he felt Prince Charles had become remote since openly acknowledging his relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles. "He said she looked halfway between a horse and a goat, but he loves horses so he calls her The Goat."

Harry was apparently upset that it was his older brother who remonstrated with him over the Nazi uniform stunt, passing on his father's disapproval second-hand.

"Prince Charles was just too busy with his mistress to be at his son's side at that time," said the friend. "He felt very rejected over that."

Recent reports of Chelsy's dopesmoking while on holiday in Mozambique have added to the Royals' disapproval of her. And William has told his brother: "You know a girl like Chelsy isn't right for you. You need someone more like us."

In return, according to close friends, Chelsy has been contemptuous of Harry's family ties ever since they were apart for a while and she invited him to have 'phone sex'. He refused to take part in an explicit sexual conversation, saying: "Have you any idea how many people are able to listen in to my calls?" At the centre of Chelsy's crisis over Harry is her knowledge that he can get any girl he wants. "She's so scared he'll lose interest in her," said her friend. "All she has to offer is a voluptuous figure and a party lifestyle. Harry has to think further than that."

I wonder how the Mail reporter knows all that stuff. It's been a long time since the Mail had Diana to tell Richard Kay everything that's going on. This sort of reporting sounds more like Rita Skeeter (Harry Potter reference for the couple of people on the face of the planet who haven't read those books) than a responsible piece of reporting.

One could only hope the world could be so lucky.

This is absolutely heartbreakening. Now one can see what Chelsy is reallly like and how Harry really feels about Camilla Parker Bowles.

OOOPsss I just saw that kinneret5764 posted the article. Sorry...but it is absolutely hearbreakening. I knew that he was not that acceptable of camilla and that his and charles' reltionship was perfect...:(

i disagree with that articles,reina

because Chelsy recalled to Prince Charles and Camilla that not right! and Prince William told Harry about Chelsy not "perfect as Princess"

but Prince Charles always busy all the times on his plans with his mistress Camilla have lots to do going theatre, opera, whatever and he will attend 2 state trips include Australia and New Zealand "he busy father"

I understand that articles Prince Harry staying Highgrove because he trouble for nazi officer's uniforms as grounded following his father the Prince of Wales's order he would learn Harry's lesson.

im sure Chelsy not perfect for future Princess and i would think she will more recalled on his family maybe more worse like Princess Diana did that on taboilds every years because Diana said she is "Princess of Wales" and nobody taking her as Princess of Wales when she is divorces to Prince of Wales im honest!

I have finally found a reason why he shouldn't date her. Funny, whenever a prince breaks up with his girlfriend, I tend to not like the girlfriend anymore.

Ok her eis another story of how william and harry really feel, but there is more emphasis on Harry. Poor guy :(

But in private, Princes William and Harry are thought to be less than ecstatic. Harry, in particular, is believed to have serious reservations having endured a difficult relationship with Camilla.
But more than seven years after their mother died, they have accepted that a wedding is inevitable. Both are believed to have been consulted.

Senior royal officials insisted yesterday that they were pleased.

"We are both very happy for our father and Camilla and we wish them all the luck in the future," the princes said in a statement.

But they are known to have a sometimes frosty relationship with their future stepmother.

"It was definitely very difficult at the start," said one royal insider.

"There was a lot of disquiet about their father and Camilla, and it's telling that there has never been a photograph of the four of them together.

"There was a lot of frostiness at the start, but as they've both grown up they have grown accustomed to her. At the end of the day they just want their father to be happy.

"In addition, any friction there is also eased by the fact that there is not much contact between them and Camilla."

That lack of contact may be deliberate, however. According to friends, while William is thought to take a pragmatic view of the couple's relationship, Harry still finds it very difficult to deal with.

Despite Camilla's attempts to win him over, he prefers to avoid her and still dwells very much on the memory of Diana.

"Harry often talks about his mother and the difficulties he has experienced with Camilla Parker Bowles," said one friend.

"It seems as if he has carried his hurt alone for a long time. Camilla tried to win him over, but Harry says he just couldn't forget his mother.

"Although he was very young at the time of his parents' break-up, Harry knew exactly what was going on. He gives the impression that he was closer to his mother even than William, despite his age. He still worships her.

"He says he has never felt comfortable with Camilla, and used to make faces behind her back when he was younger.

"He said that when his father went away for the weekend, he knew he was going to see his mistress -- and he resented that. It made him rebellious."

Prince Harry, the friend said, simply does not understand Charles's attraction to her.

"His father insisted Harry meet with Camilla, but it was never easy," the friend said.

"Harry just can't see what his father sees in her. He thinks she is unattractive and has no personality."

Harry's difficult relationship with Camilla was one of the reasons he did not travel to Scotland to see his father in the wake of his recent Nazi uniform gaffe.
