Express is not very reliable but if true, it's really fantastic.
Most of (as apparent from a recent discussion on the topic) believed Harry would have to wait till Charles is King to be awarded the Garter.
If true, it's really a great honour for Harry; even William - the future King - had to wait longer.

He'll be in Washington DC on May 7th to accept the award on behalf of the William and Harry foundation.

I'm so happy for him. What an honor and he deserves it.

Hopefully there will be tv coverage of it.

Oh my gosh, does he ever look like his father. The only difference is that he has hair like Earl Spencer.

Harry and his father have the same eyes but I think.g that Harry has Earl Spencer's facial features. I compared pictures of Harry and his grandfather at about the same age and they look like brothers. I remember looking at pictures of Princess Diana's nephews and Harry looks amazingly similar to his cousins on his mother's side.

He appears to have put on some weight...he's got a double chin! Any news on his Afghan deployment (wish he wouldn't go)?

No news and he does look "healthier" ;)

No, there's been nothing. It certainly won't be before the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics, given that Harry's an Olympics ambassador. My best guess would be Q4 this year.

But they have said all along, that there is a possibility that he could miss portions (if not all) of the Jubilee/Olympics due to his deployment. Much like with William's deployment, we may not know the exact date until the day it happens.

We knew William would be going on his training mission months before he went, we knew the date at least a month prior as well. The press couldn't stop talking about how he would miss Valentines Day.

Also, there is a HUGE difference between deployment to the Falklands and to Afghanistan, whether the soldier is royal or not. I hope we don't know about Harry's deployment to Afghanistan until he is safely back in the UK

Prince Harry backs cousin-in-law Mike Tindall's rugby charity
Prince Harry has collaborated with cousin-in-law Mike Tindall in a mission to help military men and women through rugby. The Apache-flying prince has thrown his weight behind Tindall's new charity Rugby For Heroes which raises funds and mentors servicemen and women making the sometimes difficult transition to civilian life. Harry's support for Tindall is a huge endorsement for the rugby player, who is the newest member of the Royal Family after marrying the prince's cousin Zara Phillips last July.

I am really happy!!! how is he taking part as oplymic 2012\

From playboy prince to humanitarian hero: Harry to get 'Bono' award for charity work at Washington gala
His partying antics in recent years have earned him the name of the 'playboy prince'. Today, however, at an awards event put on by the highly-respected Atlantic Council, Prince Harry will be recognised for his contribution to a more serious cause. The third in line to the Throne will be presented with an award to honour his humanitarian work, specifically his charitable engagements with injured military personnel.

Applying the term playboy to Harry seems a bit over the top. He likes to hit the pubs and clubs like most people his age but its not as if he has spent his time swaning around the casinos of the Riviera, or racing through the Bois de Boulogne, or bedding one super model /actress after another.

^^ Really well said, NGalizine. Calling Harry a playboy always seemed so exagerated to me...

Harry made some bad choices in the past but he really grown up and is mature man, active in charity field as well soldier. But for press he always will be that 'bad brother', it's very unfair IMO.

......not that we know of, anyway.

Prince Harry touches down in Washington, DC, and meets with injured war veterans (and Jill Biden can't stop grinning at him)
Prince Harry arrived in Washington on Monday to meet with a team of injured British servicemen and women who were in town to take part in a Paralympic sporting event - and he found a new admirer in Second Lady Jill Biden. The Royal was also on hand to receive an award in recognition of his humanitarian actives on behalf of wounded military personnel, which has included a Walking With the Wounded trip to the North Pole. There were more than 200 injured service personnel and veterans competing in the annual U.S. Olympic Committee-hosted Warrior Games.
Prince Harry:
- With members of the UK team for the Warrior Games
- With Captain Simon Maxwell, Royal Marines
- Looking dashing as ever
- At the British Embassy
- During the reception
- Planting a tree
