Of course, you may be right. It is so natural for 2 people that are in love, to feel sad when the parting time comes closer!

Royal Flush: Harry's Princely Wager

Prince Harry has reportedly been spotted having a flutter in a casino. The third-in-line to the throne, who is training to become a tank commander, was seen playing roulette and blackjack at a seaside holiday resort. Harry, who is said to be trying to put his well-publicised party lifestyle behind him, is currently based at Bovington Camp in Dorset with the Household Cavalry.

I don't like his behaviour. I think not everything is o.k. with this boy. He is a typical spoilt brat. He has no idea about real life. I know - he has difficult childhood, he lost his mother ...... But it doesn't excuse him any more.

I'm not sure what you mean by "not everything is ok" part. Are you referring to his mental state? I don't believe being a spoilt brat is an mental disease. Harry is a product of his priviledged upbringing and the society he associates. No doubt he lives a pampered life, but he also demonstrates awareness of the problems in the world with his charity involvements.

Incas I agree with Anna Nowak Waht did Harry do that was so bad? I think he won this free day at the Casino during his last week at Sandhurst.

What is the problem. He is a grown man. He is responsible for his own behaviour regardless of his background. He, like his contemporaries training in the army, works hard and plays hard.

No rules were bent, no laws broken, no pristine maidens debuanched. So again I ask, "What is the problem"?

Marg, I think the problem is that it is easier (and lazier) for some to exclaim "how shocking!" without bothering to read the facts behind the headlines.

I agree with you, Marg and Warren:

What has Harry done that's so bad?
Compared to other Royals' past behaviour, and even the behaviour of some of Harry's contemporaries, Harry is very normal, sort of mild even. He does smoke and drink, but so do many people including Royals.
I think he has a sweet temperament, and he seems funny and down to earth, but he also seems to be careful not to irreparably cross the line.

If you read the newspaper reports, they actually said that Harry behaved him quite well, didn't gamble any big money (5 pounds was the top), didn't cause any trouble, behaved himself very well, wasn't drunk and people around him generally got the impression he was the first time in Casino. That sounds normal for me.

I can't remember when I said that but I think it wasn't in reference to his nose!

Actually, whatever was said I missed, but I can only comment on your comments. I agree with what you said about him being a grown-up and his responsibilities in respect to his behavior. However, because of his background, he has more responsibilities than his 'contemporaries' in keeping his life scandal free and restraining any bad behaviors. Again, I don't know what this is all about except that I agree and disagree with your opinion without offending your opinion.

The only problem is people wanting to make it a problem. Remember the 'scandal' when he spent a whole pound on a lottery ticket, (much less than some in the UK spend every week, to the detriment of their family)

IMO, he behaves a lot better than some newly trained officers that I have known!

Having spent 20 years in the military I absolutely agree with you.

To my mind it seems he is caught in a classic 'Catch 22' situation.
Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
Is it any wonder that he seems to have decided to live life and be damned. :w00t2:

I couldn't agree more. Though, Harry has had his share of PR problems. People are way too quick to make him out to be the worse thing that walked the planet. All this I think to further make william look better. This kind of reminds me of the mess that went on a few years ago with Edward & Charles. But, from what I read that had to do more with Charles PR man at the time. He had sence been removed. But, Making Edward out to be some kind of stalker of William. & To this day I still think that Sohpie was set up. The good feeling that was to be had after Edward & sohie's wedding. Until her Setup & her having to leave her job. The focus on the Family was on Edward & sohpie at that time ( with A hands off approach at the time of william & Harry). I think Yeah, she may have said something, in jest. However, the whole thing was blown up to make her look really bad. Samething with Edward & his TV production company. As An American I though that the series that he was doing on the History of the fIRM was very good. It was shown here. Once again too bad he was made to give that up also.

I have seen the samething going on with harry. Good Brother, Bad Brother. It really is a shame. Frankly, outside of harry's few mis steps. I fin Harry a Breath of Fresh Air that isn't a ROBOT, & that he is actually ( Dare I say it) HUMAN. Just like his mother. I see so much of Her fun loving spirit & her Heart in Harry. Yeah, he has to grow up some but, like all other young men at his age( regardless of his position or not) young people do make mistakes. But, Hopefully he is learning from those mistakes without becoming stiff suit.

I doubt this very much. The latest story due to break tomorrow morning has photographs of Prince William very much on form with another girl. Kissing her and holding hands. Prince Harry is pictured kissing a girl who isn't Chelsy whilst having his hand on another girl's breast. So watch this space. The fireworks begin tomorrow but I think we can take it as read that Kate and Chelsy are obviously not serious.

Indeed. At the moment it's being chatted about on the radio mainly, BBC News 24 have just mentioned it and it's all over the papers tomorrow apparantly. It seems William may finally be doing something interesting.

I just saw those pictures on the Royalist. They will be in tomorrow's (I think?) SUN paper. Does anyone have any idea when those photos were taken? I think Harry and William look a few years younger. They may not have been with Kate and Chelsey when those photos were taken. I can't wait to hear your comments about the photo.
