.

The Duke of York currently is in China. He attended the 10th anniversary of Harrow International School Beijing, opened the new campus of Harrow Beijing, met with Chinese technology entrepreneurs and with Premier Li today, October 24.

I know they don't do it for the recognition but it would be nice of the media to recognise that the Royal Family doesn't begin & end with William, Kate & Harry. I'm not having a go at W, K & H - I know they can't control what is written, my gripe is with the media.

It happens in all of the royal families...so nothing new! The media attention is on the regent couple, the heir to the throne and his family!

I agree. It's probably always happened.

When Princess Margaret was in her twenties she was considered beautiful, glamorous and exciting. She went to nightclubs! A lot of Press attention focused on her, and of course on her sister. Much less then went on the Duchess of Kent (always considered very chic and elegant, though) and on the Gloucesters.

When Prince Charles and Princess Anne entered public life they soaked up more attention than the minor royals got.

I think it's just reflective of the media and public constantly wanting new stories on the royals. Because the young out-rate the old, and females generally are considered better value than males (hair, clothes, shoes) the media goes for what sells.

Richard Palmer has consistently said that Kate is the only royal (apart from the Queen, of course) who is virtually guaranteed her photo in the paper on her engagements.)

Incidentally, for those interested, Prince Andrew is taking the salute on the veterans’ march past at Horse Guards on Remembrance Sunday.

Is it usual that the duchess Sarah is attending a event with prince Andrew and her girls?

When I asked why #TheDuchessOfYork was at an official royal event at royal palace one senior source said because #HRHTheDukeOfYork asked her

It is interesting to me that TheDuchessOfYork is attending an official royal engagement at a royal palace supporting her ex husband.

This is intriguing but not unprecedented. She attended the Duke's being installed as a Knight of the Garter. Still, having her at two events with a royal connection in as many weeks is v-e-r-y interesting.

The first one though makes a lot of sense seeing as it was an official acknowledgement of the charity that she set up so of course she would have been at that event.

This one seems like it is an organisation etc that is going to have a strong family connection.

Maybe she will be back or maybe she won't. I do think that The Queen would like to see Andrew settled with a wife again and if that is Sarah then so be it.

Prince Andrew is travelling to Saudi Arabia next week at the request of the government. At the moment, he's on a private visit to Azerbaijan

Now why am I not surprised to see Prince Andrew back doing exactly what he used to be doing only without the title! It seems the heads of state and their ministers like to be royally smoozed and Prince Andrew knew how to play the game for the home team.

The government let itself be influenced by the Mail et al and, with Andrew being tagged "Airmiles Andy", they cut him loose for the vultures. Now, they once again call on Andrew, with his gift of the gab and handy golf bag, to reprise the job of Britain's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment in all but name.

Saudi was on behalf of the British Government; I dont know about Turkey. But India was on behalf of the Queen and he was there to deliver her speech to the Conference.

Abu Dhabi was fun!

Although in Abu Dhabi he opened the school with Beatrice so he also had an engagement there.
