Thanks for the link, gfg02. Interesting article. I don't see the big deal that Prince Andrew posed for some fun pictures w a bunch of bathing beauties. So? It's not like he was escorting them all up to his hotel suite or something. It seems like it was just done in good fun. As for The Real Prince Andrew, I'd think it must be awfully hard for the royals to always remain formal and icy and distant. It's probably difficult for P. Andrew to balance out being a royal and being human. At least he likes to have fun.

Im glad he went He seems to be taking more Roles as the years go by .

Prince Andrews visit though brief probably did a world of good for the little girl but my prayers are with her. How brave she is. May she go into a complete remission.:lucky:

Prince Andrew seems to be a really hardworking royal, busy the whole time ,or is it my imagination?

I just read in hellomag that Prince Andrew sold his home in sunninghall park, does anyone know to whom and for how much?

Andrew is in Canada at the moment, he made a visit to the Princess Louise Fusiliers, an army reserve unit in Halifax, but as the short article said, reporters were not allowed to be there as well, so there are no pics..:)

The article is a bit wrong though

He's off to Ontario after Halifax to visit another regiment. He's going to be in Canada all week.

Duke of York visits city

Duke of York visits city

TRAINS, historic halls and centres of the community - they were all part of a day's work for York's own Royal.
First on the agenda for the Duke of York was unveiling a new £10 million train depot in the city, during a whirlwind visit yesterday.

I enjoyed the video! He knows how to interact with his audience!:)

And as to 'The Air Miles Andy" conundrum;if he had to travel by car wouldn't these people still complain? And if the Duke of York did not go to these meetings wouldn't they find fault in that? :ermm:

He could go by train and use biofuel vehicles, he could even use a scheduled flight and biofuel cars. One of his important meetings, is opening a play area in a ecologically sound forest walk, what a waste of taxpayers money to have AMA opening it! Not even someone trying to save areas like this!

Great pic you've chosen, Avalon, Andrew having fun at his official engagements, those are always the best shots! Thanks for posting :)

Former British prime minister John Major (L), former US presidents George Bush (C) and Bill Clinton (2-R) and Prince Andrew, Duke of York, attend the memorial service for former Russian president Boris Yeltsin in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, Russia, 25 April 2007.

I am glad that Yeltsin's funeral had royal representation. I was not expecting even a "lesser" royal like the Duke of Kent to be there, so the Duke of York going was a nice surprise.
