Exiled empress 'returns' home

LONDON: Britain's Prince Michael hopes to close a difficult chapter of family history this week when he attends the reburial of his great aunt, the mother of Russia's last tsar, in St Petersburg, Russia.

Now, there's a video there showing Prince and Princess Michael standing with King Constantine and Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary at the reburial of Empress Maria Feodorovna. Prince Michael gives a little interview on Maria.

But the thing that shouted at me was Princess Michael. She didn't look like the wife of a minor Prince. She looked like an Empress standing there. This woman is wasted. Can't they make her Queen of Malta or something like that?

I love that. I have always felt that she has not been given enough credit for how she carries out her duties, despite the negative comments she gets.

I agree charlottestreasures. She deserves so much more praise than she gets.

I am particuarly interested in photos of the Michaels of Kent -the link focuses more on the Danish Royals. I also agree with the previous two posts. One thing the media have never been able to criticise the Princess for is how she behaves at Royal events as she's a credit to the Royal Family and always looks the part.
