Peter won't marry girlfriend because she's Canadian

Ok what is wrong with Canadians I'm Canadian. There's nothing wrong with us. :( Maybe it would be good to inject some north american blood into the family. Peter is such a hottie.:)

It doesn't seem to fit that Peter wouldn't marry Autum because she's Canadian. He seems like a really down to earth guy?
We don't get to see enough of him. I'm sure the Royal Family's public opinion would rise if Peter was seen out and about!!
(I'm jesting!!!)

That's a pretty shallow excuse, if her being Canadian is his excuse.

The Earl of St. Andrews married a Canadian, so it wouldn't be the first royal-Canadian marriage (although he's much further down the line than Peter).

I rather think Peter is far enough done the line for his marriage not really to matter!

I don't think it matters what nationality a person is, it should matter that you want to spend the rest of your life with that person. Peter will be 28 in November and doesn't need the his grandmother the Queens permission to marry Autumn if he so chooses. He seems very happy with her and that's all that should matter. He wouldn't be the first person of a different nationality to marry into the royal family. After all Prince Philip was born in Greece.

Maybe but Prince Philip was royal and Autumn is not. When Peter supposedly said he couldn't marry Autumn he also said his wife would be from an old british family. I think we should understand from the appropriate and loaded ($) circles.

He'd rather marry for money than marry a Canadian. No, not shallow at all!

Well, as a grandson of the Sovereign, Peter is certainly required by protocol to seek the permission of the Queen to marry. The Prime Minister would also have the right to be consulted as well.

Prince Philip was not Greek, his nationality is British, German and Russian. Even though popular and court opinion was hardly enthusiastic about his marriage to Elizabeth at the time, he is actually far more royal than the Queen in lineage.

Peter doesn't need to marry for money. He has plenty of his own via a trust fund set-up for him by the Queen. That's not going to be a consideration for him.

I am sure that Peter's definition of "plenty" is different than ours.

What car crash! I know Peter was in a crash about a year ago in China during a Grand Prix race with other members of the Williams F1 team. But that looks like a fresh and bad scar.
