I know. They look so unhappy when they're around each other lately. They can't even stand to look at one another. I see a divorce soon.

Exactly.

What's funny is that both Jecca and William have denied that they ever dated, yet the rumor still persists.

I have to agree soapstar. Those photos, the body language and facial expressions show a couple that are deeply unhappy.;)

I think those that wish to speculate on the state of the Cambridges marriage should start a new thread. The same thing that lots of you did a few weeks ago when there was speculation about the Norwegian CPs.

Was he? Can you point to me which one he is on the pics because I saw no one who could be her boyfriend.

I can't, because I heard it through the grapevine, which is just as reliable as a picture of two people walking on the same tarmac with a few other males being evidence that something must be going on between the two. :whistling:

:previous: Indeed. Both situations are just people imagining the things they want to believe in.

So was Jecca the only female in the hunting party? I'd have thought there would be other women present as well if Jecca went along with the men, unless they're not pictured.

We don't know if there were others who were with the party and probably arrived at different times. I guess Jecca is considered just one of the guys as well.

Did you see that the pap who always seems to pop up just where Kate is, the very one who made all those mysterious tweets about big news from Will and Kate back in Nov. 2012 (before ANYONE knew there was big news), has asked if Jecca is the new Camilla?

This is one of the reasons why I said I don't envy his friends...that's such a rude and disrespectful thing to say..

I actually remember a couple or years ago reading an old article that said Jecca hated the attention that went along with being friends with him...and can you blame her...

I just wanted to wish Their Royal Highnesses a very Happy Valentine's Day. I continue to wish the Cambridge's all the love and blessings in the world. They've grown into a beautiful young family and I hope they will continue to be a very happy family for many years to come.

That's such a nice thought. Seconded.

I'm very much looking forward to this next your

If You're In Sydney When W and C Are Here...

...as its been reported in the local media that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to attend the races here in Sydney on Easter Saturday, don't forget the really big thing that happens here every Easter - "The Royal Easter Show".

Little Launceston in Tasmania - population around 60,000 - had Her Majesty The Queen attend their show in 1981, so I won't be suprised to see William and Catherine at Sydney's - Australia's biggest, and on while they're in town.

Also an easy way for them to be seen by a big general population crowd - especially if they go on a"Grand Parade" day.

Sun Lion. :easterbunny::easterbunny::easterbunny:

P.S. Better security than a street walkabout as everyone goes through a bag check before accessing the Showground.

(PP.S. A night and day show, running from April 10th till 23rd this year.)

Sun Lion, What's the royal Easter show for us non-Aussies? Is it like royal variety show that they do in the UK?

This place. Lmao niraji also said Kate was pregnant and it turned out they got a dog. How he became the go to person for info is beyond me. When did being able to stalk people mean that you are privvy to what's going g on in their home. Goodness. Finding joy in the break up of a family is so odd to me.

Sorry to not be clear Skippyboo - and thanks for the link Roslyn - yes, every part of Oz has it's own "Show" throughout the year, though Sydney's always changes dates to be on at Easter time.

It's the "city meets the country" where children get to see lambs being born, (pregnancies timed to be born in front of the audiences eyes!), little pigs run races, cows are milked etc.

Very big part of Australian culture as we're still a food-producer for the world.

(Public Holidays for "Show Day" in Tasmania, early October Thursday for Launceston Show, week or two later Thursday for Hobart Show.)

Sydney Show even has a competition where cattle are judged live, then slaughted and the meat judged.

The "Grand Parades" are where everyone circles around with their alpacas, goats, bulls and cows, machinery, horses, carriages, led by adults or country children, in the main arena that all showgrounds have.

Everyone sits in the grandstands and oohs and aarhs at the moving mass of the local farm animal champions as they all wear their competition ribbons.

There is always an upset with several animals going sideways, or breaking loose, which adds to the colour and drama of it all.

Sydney also has what is called the "Districts Exhibitions" which are large "pictures"of country life, but when you go up close you see they are made from the wool, grains, jars of preserves and fruit and vegetables grown in that district. Very competitive and known to impress many US farm folk who come out and see it.

I don't think we'll see William and Catherine on the Ferris Wheel with their fairy-floss, but I do think they will put in an appearance on at least one day.

Cheers, Sun Lion.

P.S. Fireworks and rodeo each night, cooking and sewing competitions, massed dog obedience displays, precision driving teams, motor-bike daredevils etc. - the whole shebang.

In the "old days" it used to be a chance for the country folk to look at fridges, cars, washing-machines etc, but that has died out as the country is not that isolated these days.

PP.S. I've just seen where Her Majesty's race-horse "Carlton House" is in the hands of one of Australia's famous trainers Gai Waterhouse, and if things pan out, it may be entered in the "Queen Elizabeth Stakes", being run at Royal Randwick on the day W and C are due to attend.

These events sound a lot like what our state fairs and county fairs are like here in the States and from my experiences with them, they're a boatload of fun for all ages.

My favorite is getting elephant ears. I am presuming that fairy floss is what we call cotton candy and is my second favorite.

I hope you go and have a wonderful time AND see W&C to boot!

Reading your description made me all misty and nostalgic, Sun Lion. I was a Sydney girl from a country family, and I have fond memories of Easter Shows from the 1960s (when sample bags really were sample bags) through till when the RAS moved the show to Homebush. I recall going through all the animal exhibits and spending seemingly endless hours listening to family members discussing the merits of the various merino sheep fleeces! When I was young we usually went on Easter Saturday and did the animal exhibits and District Exhibits and craft, then the Grand Parade and then a trip to the showbag hall for me, then back to the Members' Stand for more ring events and dinner and, if I was lucky, to stay for the fireworks. How I loved those fireworks! I went to the last day of the show at Moore Park in 1997 and the first at Homebush in 1998. Homebush just isn't the same as far as I'm concerned.

With that experience of the Show as a huge Easter presence in my life, I moved to the NSW Far North Coast to find that no-one mentions it at all up here. It's regarded as a localised Sydney event, not all-pervasive throughout NSW as I had believed. I haven't met anyone who has any involvement in setting up this region's regional exhibit at the Sydney show so I have no idea how that gets put together.

Has it be stated that William and Kate will be going to the Show? If they do, crowd control might be challenging.

Roslyn - sounds like we have been in the same place on the same day at least twice in our lives - last day at Moore Park and first at Homebush.

Given where I live now I will be there again this year (I live within walking distance -- long 40 minute walk but still a nice walk - except that I still have to pay the same cost as someone who travels by train from anywhere in Sydney - which I do object to doing).

As a child I grew up in the country and it was our local show and the big one in the next town (my town had a population of around 500 while the big town up the road was about 10,000 - now over 30,000) and we had a full day off for show day in town and another half-day off for the Armidale Show up the road - along with the 5 day Easter break although I don't know anyone who went to the Sydney show to justify the extra day off for country kids other than the man who owned the orchard that backed onto my place as he regularly won the show with the best apple in the show.

The other big event in Sydney of the Easter weekend used to be the Sydney Cup races at Randwick - remember the traffic congestion around Moore Park in those days Roslyn - but they have fiddled around with that carnival a lot since then (and the passing of my father means that I don't have a family member all that concerned anymore to keep me informed).

I may go out this year but will make up my mind on the day given where I live.

Oh I remember the traffic all too well! The reason I stopped going to the show on Easter Saturday was because I met the man I would eventually marry. He was a keen racegoer in those days and Easter Saturday meant a non-negotiable day at Randwick Racecourse. We lived on the North Shore so driving to the Moore Park area on both days meant we experienced far more of the Easter traffic than anyone should have to bear. A few times we even went to the Show after the races to catch the fireworks.

Hi Osipi - yes, fairy-floss is cotton candy, but I've never heard of "elephant ears" in American movies. I'm guessing you eat them.

Yes, this would be a good year to attend the Sydney Show - if W and C make an appearance it would only add to an already "big" day out - but the crowds would be even more daunting.

Hi Roslyn - even my childhood Showground in Northern Tasmania has been lost. It's just not the same is it. Going to the Show was even more exciting than Christmas Day.

No, no announcement that the Duke and Duchess will be attending, but there was a report that they are to go to the Easter Saturday races at Randwick in last week's paper, and I'd be suprised if they didn't turn up at the Show seeing it's on while they're here. William got a bit of practice at Angelsey's show before he moved back to London, so a precedent has been set by him and the Queen.

(I think they would be in escorted cars, have a private cup of tea with the Show Society bigwigs and then appear high up in the main grandstand - all safe and secure.)

Hi Iluvbertie - price doesn't seem fair if you're on foot, but at least you get to avoid the crush of the last trains home at night - that's an experience!

This year may be a good one for the Easter races at Randwick if W and C attend, but it sounded like it's pretty well all sold out already.

Cheers Everyone, Sun Lion.

P.S. The Royal Easter Show is one of Sydney's premier events of the year and would tie in nicely with Prince William's current endevours at Cambridge University where he is studying such matters - and as The Queen's representative in Australia - The Govenor-General - has done the official Opening Ceremony in past years, maybe we'll even see Prince William do it this time.

Thanks for the explanation from the Aussie posters. It sounds like a fun event.

Kate wasn't doing yoga but from the article text is picking up Lupo's little presents. It still amazes me how far ahead Lupo is of Kate and George and he doesn't wonder off at a squirrel, bunny or other dog.

I guess the last article confirms the wish by queen Elizabeth that Kate smarterns up and lowers hem lines now onwards. We shall see if its true if Kate wears some Catherine walker in oz!

Not really because she wore Catherine Walker in Canada in 2011 before the Queen supposedly ordered higher hemlines. I really don't think the Queen is the micromanager that the papers are trying to picture her- Harry's beard, Kate's hemlines, etc. If that was true, how did Beatrice make it out of the palace with that horrible hat on royal wedding day. The queen should have made it a corgi chew toy on first sight :)

Catherine hemline are either slightly above the knee or to the knee.

The story about Catherine's hemlines isn't true. It's more of the presses own thoughts about her hemlines but just using The Queen in the articles.
