The Queen has made a proclamation for a £5 coin to be minted by @RoyalMintUK for Prince George's first birthday, next month.

At least the British Public will get to See George this way, in-Person seems to be an impossibility in the Uk, the People Down under were more Lucky in that Respect.

Erm, not so sure about that:

Duke of Marmelade..

The vast majority of the British public are happy that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are free to rise their child in the way they see fit, and understand the reticence the Duke feels towards the press [given their bestial behaviour towards his mother].

I'm sure most parents would prefer to give tiny babies privacy and calm, rather than expose them to a million flashbulbs, at the behest af a rapacious and never satisfied press pack...

Unless you were the GG or PM of Australia or NZ, a select Plunkett baby/parents or a handful of people at a zoo, you didn't see George in person in NZ or Australia even if you lived there.

After seeing the photos from polo today, no wonder they didn't take him to Trooping. He would be trying to fly off the balcony.

After all the criticism of George not being seen in the UK, it's a real shock to see that when he is in the UK he looks pretty much exactly the same as he did Down Under.

Shocking news right there.

One of the pictures showing the back of his head looks exactly like William's.

He looks a lot like William IMO but Kate's looks have softened the sharp angles in the face. He has her eye shape. Going to be a very good looking kid.

Skippyboo: He would be trying to fly off the balcony. Now can you imagine the Queen crawling around the balcony looking for him while he is trying to escape...while everyone else is in a panic for they can't find him.....from what I have seen of him in pictures, he is one handful of a big boy and he is keeping everyone on their toes. What a cutie he is...............

I had to laugh at my first random thought on reading this. Lupo could very well be astute and discreetly shy away from where George is. After seeing Daddy riding a horse playing polo, George may just decide that Lupo is his very own George sized horse and try and ride him.

Seriously though, I imagine George and Lupo are pretty close and it would make a very cute picture with both George and Lupo in it.

i prefer pix like today which are natural family pictures rather tan the posed pix we tend to get from continental royals.

George is not a show pony and the longer they avoid the posed situation, the better I'll like it. Formal engagements and honours even before school age seems wrong to me. All that comes soon enough.

Love todays pictures and they look like a happy family. Great!

I think we will get the official pictures of George for his first birthday. I'm wondering which photographer they will get to take the pictures?
