The Earl of Wessex this afternoon visited UKFast, Birley Fields, Manchester, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr. Warren Smith).

His Royal Highness, Patron, this evening attended a Reception followed by a performance at the Royal Exchange Theatre Company, St. Anne's Square, Manchester, and was received by Ms. Susan Hodgkiss (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester).

The Countess of Wessex, Colonel-in-Chief, Corps of Army Music, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning attended a Meeting at Gorton Monastery, 89 Gorton Lane, Manchester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr Warren Smith).

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, afterwards visited Trinity Church of England High School, Higher Cambridge Street, Manchester.

Love when this couple do joint royal tours as it is so rare. Great to see them supporting things that interest them on this visit. Tennis yesterday for Edward and MENCAP related engagement today for Sophie. Sophie always looks so natural around children so it's always lovely to see.

The Earl of Wessex this morning departed from Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo, Sri Lanka, for India and was received this afternoon upon arrival at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai, by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of India (His Excellency the Hon. Sir Dominic Asquith).

His Royal Highness later visited Indian School of Management and Entrepreneurship and Indian School of Design and Innovation, ISDI Tower, One Indiabulls Centre, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel, Mumbai.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, this evening attended a Reception at Param Jamuna, J. R. Mhatre Road, Juhu, Mumbai.

The Countess of Wessex was in Cumbria today, February 8: As President of the Westmorland County Agricultural Society she attended the Westmorland Show AGM (Pic 1 + article) and as Patron of Mencap she helped celebrating the 50th birthday of the charity in Carlisle. And she officially opened Annie Mawson's Sunbeams music therapy centre provided by The Sunbeams Music Trust in Penrith (Pics 2-4):
