Thank you Molly! Exactly what I meant.

To Anna;
As for the 'darling' it wasn't so much a term of endearment as to something you would notice and therefore respond to Anna. You seem best equipped to deal with Sophie hate rather than myself.

Princess me, seems unfamiliar as to how things work around here.

Edward and Sophie are on the hunt for a new private secretary to head their staff,based primarily at Baghsot Park.
https://atsv7.wcn.co.uk/search_engin...IxMzA0YzAzYg==

The Private Secretary supports Their Royal Highnesses in all matters, including those relating to patronages, security, and state and ceremonial events, and organises the official programme, accompanying them on official and working visits in the UK and abroad.

no mention of the salary though...

That was released last week I think and the one I read said it was a 6 figure salary.... It's a huge commitment though and long hours. A lot of travelling I involved.

You welcome, I'm just glad I'm able to listen to it here in the US too. Of course I had to stand for the National Anthem.

I too felt patriotic when I heard the National Anthem too (I always do) and found myself humming along.

The Coronation Festival sounded like it was a great event to go to, I wonder if you could buy tickets online or whether you had to be selectively invited. I heard that it took place in the Chapel Royal at Hampton Court, which is lovely (I got a glimpse of it when I visited Hampton Court; unfortunately you can't go inside).

That pearl necklace is stunning. Love the look on Sophie's face- typical lady trying on jewels- " Ah, gorgeous!"

I love that photo, Anna. Sophie looks beautiful and you know she is thinking, "I want this..."

This is good news. I think it also points to Sophie and Edward eventually being the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh too.

HRH The Countess of Wessex appointed Global Ambassador | The Duke of Edinburgh
I have no idea if it was taken during South African visit or earlier. All I can see is this great gown, which we haven;t seen in full glory yet :(
I know she wore it 3 times, to Wells Cathedral Concert, to Tomorrow's People charity dinner, and this time. Also I see new earrings for Sophie.

I can't wait until the day we call them The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh as they both do a lot for the DoE award scheme. Of course it will be sad as it will not be Philip as the Duke, but someday Edward will fill the role and he'll do a good job! Some day James will be His Grace, The Duke of Edinburgh as well.

It is not only Philip that has to die but the Queen also. When Philip dies the Dukedom goes to Charles as the eldest son, when the Queen dies the dukedom is merged with the crown and the new King, Charles can issue it to Edward.
