Thank you so much for the pictures! James is such a cute little boy, with a smile that implies a rather impish character (I don't mean it in a bad way). Louise is stylin' in her sun glasses and hat. Love the patriotic colors of red, white and blue in her outfit (again, probably something she put together that morning ).

It is indeed a treat to see these kids out and about, enjoying some fun times with the family. Love the picture of Louise with the ice cream cone. She appeared to be enjoying it (then again, it's ice cream and what child won't be excited to get some, right?).

Thank you very much, Mag. James has the cutest dimples, I agree that he may have Sophie's smile. He is adorable, and he looks to be wearing Louise's old Frog Wellington boots. It's a shame we are not members of the photo agency StellaPictures these came from, as I am sure there are other images.

Louise is rockin' those shades with her excellent flatcap, she looks adorable on the carousel. I am glad to see no sign of her injury from April. Children's bones heal so quickly! These little children are adorable, I am so glad we are seeing more of them as they grow older.

I agree Daria, James looks like a little monkey! It's hard to tell who he resembles more, but perhaps it's because Louise is the image of Edward I am looking for a resemblance between James and Edward.

On a side note, I LOVE Sophie's bag. It looks like a Mulberry bag, niccceeeee!

I am new here and this has probably been asked, but why aren't Sophie's children known as Prince and Princess like Prince Andrew's daughters are?

Because it was their parents' wish.
As male-line grandchildren of the Monarch, James and Louise are legally Prince and Princess of the United Kingdom with the style of Royal Highnesses, in accordance with Letters Patent 1917. However, when Edward and Sophie married, they requested that any children they might have should be styled only as children of an Earl, most probably, hoping to give them some sort of a normal life (not unlike that of Peter and Zara Philips). Hence Louise is a Lady, whereas James is Viscount Severn.

What a lovely story. I do hope we'll see some pictures from this visit. Regardless, the kids will remember meeting Sophie for the rest of their lives.

That shade of maroon looks stunning on the Countess. Her light complexion makes it stand out.

I agree the colour is fabulous and her look here is great ... unlike the dreadful white outfit she wore to the Queen's luncheon. I am not sure the black and white is great on her in the photos beolw the pink bit matronly IMO .

What a beautiful fuschia color on Sophie, and I love her deep curtsey to the Queen.

I actually WANT her shoes. Where are they from, Sophie? Are they within my price range? The image of Sophie looking to the side is stunning. Honestly, this woman has aged so damn well!

I love the image of Sophie curtseying to the Queen, particularly as the Queen is smiling widely at her. It is so evident at times like this how much the Queen likes Sophie, and I believe when the Queen sadly passes Sophie will be devastated. Of course everyone will be, but their relationship has been very different to that of other in-laws, I feel Sophie will feel such a huge loss.

I am not 100% sure who the designer of Sophie's shoes is, but they look exactly like a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo satin peep toe shoes I have, only my pair is black. However, I do remember other colours in the store as well, including purple like Sophie's. I think they cost about $500, but at the time I bought them, they were reduced to something like $350. Quite pricey, but incredibly comfortable (you can dance all night in those) - certainly much more so than Manolo's and Louboutins. Not to mention, they look lovely.

Sophie has definitely blossomed over the past several years and has really made her mark in the Royal Family.
