I see Sophie has been on the news quite often this past week. IMO, they could have taken better and more flattering pictures of her, though I liked the ones from the hospital, as well as the outfit she wore that day (floral skirt with a black jacket). BTW, I agree that she does a terrific job. Always.

E and S to go on tour of Barbados, Bermuda, and Bahamas

The couple arrived on the Bermuda islands yesterday, March 16 and will stay
untill March 18.

** Prince Edward and Princess Sophie arrive in Bermuda **

Barbados will be visited from March 18 till March 21st.

The visit to the Bahamas is planned for March 22nd till March 23rd.

Sophie definitely looks like in a summer mood. I like her white dress a lot. Edward doesn't look as pale anymore either. Apart from their duties and attending functions, I hope they truly enjoyed their trip!

I was just looking at the British news sources, and I don't see anything about the Wessex trip. Perhaps it's simply that the British press were following William, and so the reporting we're getting is from the local press. There's more likely to be coverage in specialist Royal-watching magazines.

They look great! I really love Sophie's hair.

By now Sophie and Edward are back in London, here are some pics of their
latest events on the Bahamas:

On Tuesday, March 22, they attended the Governor-General's Youth Awards
Banquet at the British Colonial Hilton Hotel.

This tour must have been a success, judging by everyone's smile and delight. It's rather true that the press didn't cover this trip much, I wonder why.

Because they don't see Edward and Sophie as important. Anne gets attention because she works, works and works. Andrew gets attention due to his ex wife, girls and scandal. Charles gets attention because of Camillia and his controversial attitude to certain things. In the press' eyes, Edward is boring I think.

And because he is heir .... But I agree the press seem to find Edward boring, even the regular royal websites don't mention him much least of all the mainstream media, but I'm of fan of the Wessex's I think the balance duty and personal life well

I don't honestly think it is because he is the heir, that is why I didn't mention it. He gets attention for being married to his mistress and his controversial ideas. Being the heir doesn't get him any play in the press books until he becomes King, not IMO.

I would agree that as a result of the fact that they are seen as boring, they don't tend to get a lot press/public interest. They need to have a niche in order to get talked about. Anne may not be "exciting" but she knows how to work hard for the family. The problem with E & S is they don't offer anything new. When they had "normal" jobs they got more attention because they did something different. Now they are just another "royal" couple. They do tend to do their jobs well but is that enough? Not according to the media. I also don't think of them as "charismatic" anyone disagree with me? I bring it up because I think that as a lot to do with press coverage. You know the "star quality" people have.
