That's a show stopper. My disappointment that she wasn't wearing a necklace is gone. The earrings are great.

I literally wouldn't change anything about this outfit.

I think a necklace would have been too much with the lace neckline. She looks spectacular!
 
I think a necklace would be too busy with the lace; a distraction.
 
I agree Michelle. The lace at the back of her neck goes higher than I thought and a necklace would've been out of place.

Just saw William's speech on Sky News. He spoke really well about how excited he was for the Olympics to be here this year. He said Harry still goes on about beating Usain Bolt. William said it didn't even count because it was a false start. I suspect they've argued about that once or twice in the last few months!

Oh, yes, you will!:D But this member of the Greek chorus' updo brigade is singing a paen of praise over that fabulous hairdo; that sophisticated style has totally elevated the entire evening look to a whole different level. I can just imagine a tiara nestled in that elaborate 'do, or a couple of jeweled hairpins. Those lovely earrings and neckline are clearly displayed, and that gown is glorious in both color and style. I absolutely love the back and her matching clutch. Beautiful, sleek and chic; for me, it's her best look ever, including the wedding, and she looked just wonderful. Kudos, Kate, and thank you all for the great photos.

Now that wasn't so hard....;)

Holy WOW!! She looks beyond stunning and Kate should wear that colour more often. Kate really hit it out of the park tonight.

I have been looking at comments - from the public - at various newspaper sites and it's clear to me the word most used to describe Kate's appearance tonight is "stunning".

...and I totally agree. Stunning.
 
Now that's the ticket! She looks like a duchess with bona fide Royal glamor. Well done, Kate!!!

The hair has no organised form; the dress flattens her chest and those big clompy sandals should be lost for good!
 
What does 'no organised form' mean with regards to hair? From what I can see, this is the most organised Kate's hair has ever been!
 
she looks pretty as ususal. not to sure of the dress tho. love the back and her hair, but the lace seems to be a shade or two off from the dress and thats throwing me off. but overall, very nice change of pace for her.
just a side note: some one should tell her to throw her shoulders back and hold her head straight up. she always has is leaned foward and it really does not do her any justice. and she holds her shoulders not back, but kind of pulled foward. The higher the heel, the more your shoulders have to go back and the head should follow. Sorry. Pet peeve of mine!
