You know what I saw last night in one of the bigger pictures w/out watermarks, but didn't get a chance to post about due to Thunderboomers?

Check out Prince Edward's tie. He's got horses running on it.

I did a double take at first, as I wasn't sure I was seeing what I was seeing, but sure enough... Cute touch IMO. :o)

edited to add...And I see Molly beat me to it. :o) Oh well, I was sent to the page before this when I clicked on the link in the E-mail alert I was sent, so...It's all good. :o)

I think Kate looked stunning at the Epsom derby, there is a strict dress code so it's difficult to be fashion forward. I loved her fascinator. She and William looked very happy!
Regarding the advertisement for household staff, It is only for Kensington Palace not Anglesey, inevitably they will need some help.

Well I must say that Catherine looks lovely. She is every inch a royal. She carries herself as if she were born a royal. Im so proud of her. I do have a question though. Why is Catherines mom not with the family? She is watching the derby by herself. Is she not good enough to be with the family? Being Catherines mom I would think gives her some kind of honor wouldnt it? Just seems kind of strange not to see them together.

She isn't part of the RF - that's probably why she isn't photographed with them. She probably saw her daughter and son-in-law in the building.

That is quite possibly why, but I was a bit confused as to why she wasn't in the Royal box with them either. Sophie's father is often seen in the Royal box and in the process at Ascot. I know Catherine's mum had a horse running as well so perhaps she was with the other owners of that horse. I was still confused by the lack of her presence in the box. Perhaps she didn't want to be in it!

I loved his tie. It was a cute touch. He does often wear interesting ties. I like it.

that's pretty much the deal. I'm sure there will be an "occasional" event here and there that the middletons might be invited to.. but as a general rule, I would venture a guess that it will be pretty rare at least for now and probably for as long as HM Queen Elizabeth II reigns.

I don't remember where I saw it, but I read somewhere that sometimes Prince Edward's children pick out his ties for him!

They are very "on trend", and very suitable with their ensembles. Interesting that not just Catherine but also Sophie seems to like shoes from LK Bennett.

Kate's "fascinator" is actually a hat...a decorated beret. Fascinator's have movement. In that close up photo, she looks exhausted.

That isn't necessarily true, as like I mentioned, Sophie's father attends Ascot and is often seen in the Royal procession, even if Sophie is not in the carriages. He also attends the Chelsea Flower show as well.

If that is true, that is adorable!

I believe LK Bennett shoes are a firm favourite of the Royal women. I like that Catherine has joined in with this interest! Perhaps Beatrice took the tip from her aunt Sophie to buy the beige shoes!

I admit I'm just guessing but it seems a reasonable conclusion that the middletons would not get invited to every major/minor event but they would probably get invited to "some". How many I have no idea? This is just some fun guessing on my part.

Well I would hope the Middletons knew that they would not be a part of Catherines life after her marriage.Thats kind of asking alot dont you think? Its like her family is no longer her family, only acquaintances. Im sorry, I just think its kind of silly. I know the Middletons are not royal but they ARE family through marriage. I know, I know. Its not how the BRF look at it.

I would have thought that Prince william would have told them what would most likely happen after the marriage. He's known them for at least 8 or 9 years. You would think he would have broken the news about how things would work.

Really? Amazing what people will see when they want to see it. I thought she looked both amazing and if that's what an exhausted person looks like, then I want to look like Catherine did at the Derby last weekend.

So looking forward to the events of this upcoming weekend.

I've seen and heard nothing to indicate that the Middletons won't be a part of Kate's life after marriage. There's nothing preventing her from talking to them or seeing them when she has time. For example, she just had lunch with them on Tuesday while they were all in town.

And really, when a couple gets married, they normally spend time with both sides of the family separately. Even regular people split up holidays and birthdays among family. So, just because we don't see Kate's parents involved in her professional life or at William's family events doesn't mean they don't get together a lot. We just won't see it. That family time gets to be private. Unlike the other.

I didn't see any pictures of Peter there.
