Do you have any evidence that she is rude to her stylist etc?
Did I accuse her of being rude to her stylist?? No I did not. But based on WHAT I HAVE SEEN of her behavior and what she has been quoted as having said, and how she has treated various people, I stand by MY OPINION. And you're right: like Princess Anne and her GAFFE prone DADDY, I don't suffer fools gladly. Except on the internet, when most of the time I must exercise restraint.

You didn't say 'Anne is rude to her staff' but you certainly implied very heavily, in your post, that that is what you believe particularly when you did say that she bullies people
She bullies people and gets away with it because of the luck of the draw of her station.
immediately following, in the same paragraph, where you say
I wouldn't last two minutes as her stylist anyway. I don't suffer rude behavior lightly, be it Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip, Prince Charles, Prince William, or anyone else. Each one of them puts on their pants one leg at a time just like I do. In two seconds I'd let her have it the minute she started up with me, trust me on that.

You mightn't have said it directly but it is a very heavy implication from what you did write.

I asked for evidence that she is rude to her stylist etc (implying staff) and you have been unable to even specifiy one example.

I have seen her a couple of times and she was the politest of people. I have read of her telling press to 'naff off' as a teenager or young adult over 35 years ago. She also questioned why people, on Christmas Day, would want to spend time in the cold to see her and her family (actually the Queen and the Queen's family) go to church - personally I can understand that - Christmas is a time for family and I wouldn't spend my time in the cold to see another family walk to church. She did make a comment to a Scottish village about leaving ASAP to return to London. The only other incident I know of is the one where she made an inappropriate comment to a man who went to help her when she appeared to be slipping of falling. Hardly enough evidence to say that she is routinely rude to people, which is what your post implied. These incidents don't involve her stylist/staff though so don't fit the requirements of evidence that she is rude to or bullies her stylist or staff, as implied/stated by you in the first post.

If she was rude to or bullied her staff don't you think we would have heard about that. We don't seem to be regaled with stories of staff quitting due to being bullied (actually we don't seem to be getting stories of her staff quitting at all) and I am sure that the press would be getting the stories if they existed.

Philip makes comments, many of which are taken out of context, and some are plain rude, but there is way less evidence that Anne is rude or a bully at all, and certainly not to her staff.

Again, I ask you to supply evidence that she is rude to people or bullies them which you claim that she does.
She bullies people and gets away with it because of the luck of the draw of her station.

You are entitled to your opinion that she bullies people but don't be surprised when asked to actually give evidence to support you opinion.

You say
based on WHAT I HAVE SEEN of her behavior and what she has been quoted as having said, and how she has treated various people
and I would like specific examples not just general comments.

I have supplied the only speicific examples I know and I am asking you to give me more examples - I would need quite a few to believe that she is routinely rude or bullying - four or five over the course of a public career of nearly 40 years isn't enough for me. I keep hearing people say that she is rude but all seem to point to the same examples that I have given above. It seems to me that she got a reputation and people enjoy believing that reputation.

If she really was routinely rude or bullying, particularly to her staff, and afterall it is the allegation that she is rude to and/or bullies her staff that is the focus of your original post and my reply not the way she may behave occasionally in public, the press would have been reporting it on many occasions and I simply can't find references to it.

As we've seen in the Princess Michael and other threads, members who make sweeping statements will be asked to substantiate such statements or claim(s).
In the interests of historical accuracy this is no bad thing.

You say and I would like specific examples not just general comments.
If you think I'm going to cite examples upon which to base MY OPINION then truly I have lost my mind. I have neither the time nor the inclination to justify my OPINION of her -- as an extremely RUDE person -- to you as if you are the final arbiter of what is accurate and what remarks are allowed about Princess Anne. If you disagree with what I said, fine by me. But I stand firmly by my opinion of her and my remarks about her appearance and her behavior, and I most certainly stand by how I would respond to her if it were leveled against me. You can take it or leave it. Your choice. I am not going to railroad this thread any longer by petty back and forth. Respond if you like, but it will be ignored.

Thanks Ice! :flowers:
I think Anne is a peach! And very hard working and brusque. Unlike Russo who is tactless on a GOOD day. . . :D

The Princess Royal during the investiture ceremony at
Buckingham Palace, London, June 24, 2009

I didn't realize Anne participated in investitures. Is it just the Queen, Prince Charles and Princess Anne that have authority to do these?

I think the Queen can delegate it to whoever she wants (as the investiture is just a formality), but Charles and Anne are the only two other royal family members I've seen doing it. Ambassadors and high commissioners do them if someone overseas is awarded and can't make it to London, also. (Governors-general handle it most of the time when something is awarded on the advice of a non-UK government, but once in a video of an investiture at Buckingham Palace I saw the insignia of the Order of Australia in the box.)

It seems that the Queen was supposed to do the investiture, however it was decided to 'replace' her because Her Majesty suffered from a heavy cold.
The Buckingham Palace spokesman insists that there is no cause for concern.
Her Majesty also wanted to conserve her strength as she is travelling to Holyrood in Edinburgh overnight on the Royal Train with the Duke of Edinburgh for a packed week of engagements. She is hosting a garden party and making a speech next week on the 10th anniversary of the Scottish Parliament.

As Prince Charles, who would usually deputise, was in Wales, Princess Anne stepped in to hand out the award.

A RIGHT Royal buzz spread throughout Queen's Hospital this week as Princess Anne dropped by for a visit.

The Princess Royal arrived by helicopter in Crow Lane - to avoid holding up emergency teams at the hospital's own helipad - and was escorted to the hospital, in Rom Valley Way, by car

Princess Anne looks the part in uniform. That's not the way to carry your handbag though, where are her advisors. The apprentice wearing a tie and overalls really made me smile. Now he does need advisors.

Aww, what a sweet picture. Overcrowded animal shelters are a big problem in the United States too. It's horrible how many get euthanized because nobody wants them.

Thoroughbreds celebrate their birthdays on the same date, January 1 in the Northern hemisphere and August 1 in the Southern.

All thoroughbreds have the same birthday so that their ages can be standardized for comparison because of the historical lack of records of actual birth days.

So, a happy unbirthday to the horses at Gatcombe.:D
