Concerning Princess Marie-Louise, is it possible to confirm the date of her first meeting with her future husband at her cousin Victoria's wedding? According " My Memories of six reigns" this wedding was in automn 1889, and according others sources the date of the wedding was on 19th of november 1890 !

Princess Viktoria of Prussia married on 19 November 1890 to Prince Adolf of Schaumburg-Lippe.
In Autumn 1889, more precisely on 27 October 1889, Viktoria's sister Sophie married to the then Crown Prince Constantine of Greece (later King Constantine I).

I find interesting (and odd) that she is described as the "last surviving grandchild of Queen Victoria". Actually when she died in 1956 five more of her many grandchildren were still alive: the Duchess of Galliera; Lady Patricia Ramsay; the Countess of Athlone; the Marquess of Carisbrooke; and Queen Victoria Eugenia of Spain.

Princess Marie Lousie had a very large jewels collection...I have a question.

Is it possible that she and her sister inherited also jewels of her 2 brothers?I mean, one of them was Head of the Augustenburg branch of Schleswig-Holstein family...Is it possible that she and her sister Helena Victoria inherited also some jewels of Augustenburg Ducal family after their brother's death?

It's possible I suppose, but not very likely, IMO. His predecessor, Ernst Gunther, (whom Queen Victoria referred to as 'the abominable Gunther') had a widow Dorothea, who lived until 1967, decades after Albert, the Princesses' brother, died. She also had two adopted children she could have left personal jewellery to. The Duke of Glucksberg, who succeeded the childless Albert as Duke in 1931, would probably have bagged the official Augustenberg jewels, if there were any.

What about personal collection of Prince Albert? He outlived both his mother and his father and I assume he inherited something...

Just don't know if his daughter,Duchess Marie Valerie von Arenberg got anything from him, apart from recognition that she is his natural daughter?

Marie Mallet (ne Adeane), Maid-of-Honor to Queen Victoria noted:
"Thora is very sensible and level-headed. It would have been for instance a godsend to Russia if the Tsar had married her."

Princess Marie Louise attended the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. She brought her gin and tonic with her. She rode back to Buckingham Palace while half hanging out the carriage window in the rain to wave to the crowds.
