I voted for Silvia, because, of those in the list, I think she was the most beautiful. Paola was lovely, but there's something about Silvia's face that I prefer. If Grace Kelly had been in the list, she would have had my vote.

All those in the list are Europeans, but there have been, and are, some real beauties to the East.

Princess Gayatri Devi of Cooch Behar who became Maharani Consort of Jaipur:

They are all beautiful ladies but none were crown princesses. I was trying to think of someone who was a crown princess at some point. Of course some of the choices in the poll were never crown princesses either so I suppose it doesn't really matter.

I don't understand why Queen Silvia is an option. She was never a Princess. She married a King therefore becoming Queen.

:previous: The Shah's first wife was Fawzia, princess of Egypt. But she isn't well known at all. So yes, the one you mean was Soraya, his second wife. Soraya was an outstanding beauty. I agree that she was in the same league as Paola and Grace.

Empress Fawzia of Iran

I chose Crown Princess Sonja of Norway. She was elegant and lovely like a sophisticated lady from a picturesque painting.

:previous: I agree! Always think Sonja's beauty is underrated.

Yes its incorrect as Silvia of Sweden was never a Crown Princess.

There are several very beautiful crown princesses from older generations, such as crown princess Margareta of Sweden (née princess Margaret of Connaught), princess Alexandra of Wales (née princess Alexandra of Denmark) and her sister tsarevna Maria Feodorovna of Russia (née princess Dagmar of Denmark), or crown princess Cecilie of Prussia (née duchess Cecilie of Mecklenburg-Schwerin).
Crown Princess Cecilie of Prussia was indeed an elegant lady. She became popular in Germany for her sense of style.

I think at Fawzia also she was stunning. More than Soraya i believe.

Both Fawzia and Soraya were blindingly gorgeous...truly in their own league for beauty!

In her youth, the most beautiful of all princesses - crown princesses and not crown princesses - was Paola of Belgium.
She was stunning and gorgeous, star-quality beauty and cosmopolitan aura and chic, definitely the most beautiful princess, more beautiful than all the others, more beautiful than Grace Kelly and more beautiful than Empress Soraya.
She has my vote.

Of course, Queen Paola was the most beautiful of her time but she was never a Crown Princess. She was the Princess of Liège until her husbands accession to the Belgian throne.
